Weβve identified six key lessons about how to do innovation in the early years:
Adopt a test and learn approach.
Effective innovation needs dedicated capacity.
Co-design with families and frontline staff.
Thereβs no shortage of early years data β joining it up is the challenge.
Use mission-driven innovation to drive collaboration.
Scale starts with a solution that works in place.
4 years ago we launched Fairer Start Local β an innovation partnership with local authorities to test & scale new ideas for supporting early childhood development.
Our new report explores the findings from the programme and lessons on how to innovate in the early years. bit.ly/4jvjqsD

This follows Pimlico Community Conversations where we spoke with 400 residents, community organisations and businesses about what they'd like to see in their area. They told us they'd like more access to community events and council support on their area, so that's what we're doing.
