It's my birthday on Saturday, and I know what I want. Hope both of our birthday wishes come true!

How come there wasn't a straight red for dangerous play?

11.03.2026 21:02 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Surely we should be cheering on Man City to at least get something back to keep the second leg alive?

I'm all for their season completely collapsing at this point, but also want the insurance of them having extra games against Bayern.

Would have taken this result before the game. Definitely would have taken it knowing the performance we put in.

Slight advantage to us in the tie and I think we should have enough to see us through.

More concerned about Man City getting knocked out and having fewer games to play.

Manifesting a draw or narrow win for either side in the Real vs Cheaty match, so all to play for in the second leg. Then hoping for Cheaty to go through eventually so they get two more games against Bayern.

Oh, and a good win for Arsenal, of course.

This is the kind of entertainment that people want Arsenal to provide.

They hate us because we turned a slapstick comedy series that was our banter era into a meticulously made serious drama that might be on its way to multiple awards.

#tudorout is trending on the hellsite, but many of the posts are from his previous appointments because Elon broke the timeline feature.

It was very considerate of Tottenham to hire a manager that already had an established "out" hashtag. Recycling saves the planet!

I appreciate that #Tottenham are condensing their spursiness to a 10-20 minute block at the start of games. It really does save a lot of time, and time, as they say correctly, is the most valuable commodity.

I think Man City will beat Real, and if Bayern also goes through against Atalanta (which I think they will), City's fixtures are:

Real Madrid (A)
West Ham (A)
Real Madrid (H)
Arsenal (EFL Cup Final)
Liverpool (H, FA Cup)
Bayern (H)
Chelsea (A)
Bayern (A)
Arsenal (H)

😮

Best thing about the FA Cup quarter finals is that Man City gets a hard-ish draw. The league is the only thing I think most Arsenal fans want to win, so not bothered about the FA Cup let alone the quadruple.

City's next block of fixtures looks horrible, more so if they get past Real Madrid.

Hope we get the winner of West Ham vs Leeds next, and end Port Vale's fairytale run in the final.

Thems the breaks you need if you're going for the quad (2% chance of happening).

League is the priority/only one we want, so Man City getting Liverpool to add to their fixture pileup is 👍

🤞

Not quite, but that'll do pig, that'll do.

Have a sneaky feeling that if we do get to the final, it will be against Chelsea.

With all that said though, some of the main reasons Arsenal haven't clicked attacking wise is all the new recruits coming in this season (Liverpool can attest to this as well), plus loss of form/product from existing key players, and also injuries.

Top scorers in the league despite all this tho.

Arsenal are at a stage of their process where they must win trophies. Historically, they must also do it since it's been so long.

We tasked Arteta to find us a way to win, and faced with cynical low block after low block, he found a way.

Needs must, win at all cost, is Arsenal's priority right now

09.03.2026 13:10 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Every teams use low blocks against us - fair enough. They're just doing what they need to do to get results. If I faced a team with such a good defence that conceding first basically means game over, I would low block as well.

And being good at set pieces is one key to unlock low blocks.

09.03.2026 13:10 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

There was a span of 7 games in 23/24 where Arsenal scored 31 goals (3 against Liverpool, 4 against Newcastle). Teams have not allowed us to play expansive football since.

Our recent wins home and away against Real Madrid, and Bayern, have enhanced our reputation but encouraged more low blocks.

09.03.2026 12:47 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

The real question is have Liverpool been playing beautiful, winning football this season, given the huge investment in attack on top of a title winning side? Have they been allowed to? Are their poor results related?

Has any team been playing good footy when faced with low block after low block?

09.03.2026 12:41 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

League was different then, no one was low blocking all the games and when they were, they weren't very good at it.

Arsenal from 21-25, particularly 22/23 and 23/24, were playing beautifully as well, before every side we faced, even Liverpool at home and Man City, started low blocking us.

09.03.2026 12:41 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

Let's all manifest a home draw against Port Vale, Southampton or Leeds, and for Man City to get Liverpool or Chelsea away.

#facup #arsenal

Nobody will forget Pep's Man City titles, at least the one that doesn't get stripped away for blatant cheating.

08.03.2026 20:51 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

There isn't one rule for Arsenal and one for the rest. But there is one type of hyper-critical analysis for Arsenal, and one for the rest, even though every team is grappling during corners, every team is time wasting, every team is using set-pieces (Liverpool are "kings" of it apparently for 2026).

07.03.2026 01:50 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

And this is also why games are boring - everyone is low blocking and it's hard to score, let alone go 2 goals up, and nobody is taking any risks even when they're a single goal down.

But again, that's their prerogative - you take risks against Arsenal, you get punished. See Leeds, Spurs, etc...

07.03.2026 01:48 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

When was the last time you saw a referees apply the 8 second rule?

Teams against Arsenal will slow everything down when they're drawing, leading, or sometimes even 1-0 down (because they want to keep it 1-0 down until later in the game when they can smash and grab something).

07.03.2026 01:48 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Seriously, watch other teams when they're ahead and in game management mode - watch how long their goalkeeper takes on goal kicks.

I only watch the sides that play against Arsenal and they all take forever to do anything. And fair enough, they're only doing what they need to do.

07.03.2026 01:48 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

This is already happening btw. Man City have bought runners, we got Madueke to also run at defenders. Investing in players like Cherki, Eze, etc...

It hasn't completely worked and tactics will need further tuning, but changes are already happening. While it is, Arsenal have set pieces to rely on.

06.03.2026 21:17 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Yeah, this. They'll just be more 0-0 games, which they'll somehow also blame Arsenal for.

There needs to be rules to discourage low blocks, but I can't see how this can be done without almost inventing a new sport.

Tactical changes and investing in players that can unlock low blocks will be key.

Millwall favourites in four competitions as well?

"somehow" lol

Never. We're not spursy.
