ryan is someone i've known both personally & professionally for years.
he's an exceptional producer, dedicated and can really lead a team to get to where they need to.
he would be a fantastic hire.

congrats brooklyn!
generative action bars based on the kinds of terrain you are near.
inkwell - a generative / procedural mmo
it's called inkwell.
an mmo that dreams up new worlds & adapts.
After 4 years of work, I'm incredibly excited to introduce LiveStore, the next-gen data layer I'm building for Overtone.
It's based on reactive SQLite and has a built-in sync engine. Give it a try - would love your feedback!
oh woahβ¦ i didnβt know that
it uses blob tilesets and wave function collapse
turn your maps into procedural brushes and then use the magic fill tool to fill in the blanks.
next iβll be using a vision model to add descriptions to them so they can be semantically searched.
how are things here?
hello!
yesss
this is why variations matter - this is why we need way-finding.
when you transform information across forms itβs inherently lossy. there is no one true representation.
everything is an adaptation.
it isnβt just *the underlying concept of a chimpanzee*.
itβs every possible representation of one.
collapsing into a single state depends on context and intent.
not yet! need to think about what embedding database i want to deploy it with
an embedding space for character archetypes
probably - or make it encrypted (if some forms of that last).
if i had it backed up in a few places and they couldn't read it, i wouldn't really care.
biggest problem is over the larger time scales it's hard to know what will stay encrypted.
mmm me too!
everything should be part of the OS.
there's a lot that we could bake directly into the os.
the browser shouldnβt exist.
naw, it's all part of the package. it's good to learn to take care of things.
low-fi rust-bots for sure
sci-fi mostly feels like reality.
so magic is the new sci-fi.
tamagotchiβs as robots.
i want a house full of them. all different shapes and sizes.
i kind of like the idea of a robot snakeβ¦
often iβm curious about my ancestors but nobody in the family really knows enough to get a concrete picture.
i do really like the idea of a data store that is passed on between the generations.
when combined with personal AI, itβs like a guardian looking over your descendants.
whereβs this data from?
