Trump has rewritten the definitions of so many words … WINNING is one of those. This used to be known as A BIG F***UP.
Appears to be imminently qualified based upon the qualifications of many/most of Trump's crew. The only qualification is fealty to Trump while not doing anything that blows back at Trump and demands to be dealt with when he would rather do something else.
But you will not be able to take appropriate action during this period of war that is not a war, while waiting for Iran to surrender completely and the A.I. continues to select targets independent of human control of targeting. Wonder who/what/where they may select as their next target.
I cannot resist saying: Tony, we TOLD you so! Trump cares ONLY about Trump, and he will do whatever he can to maximize any benefit available to himself — no matter the cost to others. Further, the man is an illogical liar, lacks knowledge across a broad spectrum, and is mentally unstable.
If you asked Trump about this, he would probably say he has not seen any evidence of gas prices having gone up, as a matter of (Trumpian) fact, they have gone down, way down. And with stocks up like they are, there would more than enough money being made in his booming economy to pay for it. Betcha!

"Violates this crucial role" — yeah, so what's new about that? The list of things Trump has done that violate rules is very long and culminates in nothing, absolutely nothing to mark the occasion.
It did not turn out well the first time around the Peacock Throne, so why would anyone think this would rollout better over time?
The details might not have been predictable, but it should come as no surprise that this is essentially a grift/distraction. Trump pulls the strings, the puppets dance, and the US electorate continues to cover the costs in $$, lives, and lost opportunities to live their own lives on their own terms.

Why don't they simply clarify their intent: Have the person — any person — vote FIRST and then check their ballot. If they have voted REP, the vote is good and counts. If they have voted DEM, the vote is clearly compromised and the person should be investigated. Of course, THAT vote is invalid.
I understand completely. There are two interiors in which I have experienced overwhelming panic: One was an IKEA (I now only shop online), and the other was a pavilion (either USA or Russia/USSR) at the 1967 World's Fair. I was so overwhelmed that I fell down a grand stairway when I fainted.
