The new book The Isle of Pelops, with a typically gorgeous cover by Eleonor Piteira
The whole Aegean line - the core book, Book of Heroes, Book of Empires, The Isle of Pelops, GM screen and the Athenan and Kretan dice sets
Ayyy, a new addition to my favorite Greek mythology TTRPG, Aegean
I love this game; the sense of time and place, the communal city management subgame, trying to make sure that your hubris doesn't overshadow your glory so that the gods can't fuck you up...
So a few weeks ago I had to undergo a bunch of tests for cancer and today they came back negative \โ/
Apologies if I've been a little quiet lately!
The Transformers Missing Link Prime family - Optimus, Sentinel and Nemesis
I'd like you all to welcome the newest member of the family
I love that the Missing Links are getting progressively more buckwild bios
Sentinel Prime: ye olde leader
Cordon: convict sent to Earth as an alternative to jailtime
Nemesis Prime: the AI from the titular Deception ship put in an Optimus body for... reasons
Me when my Raccoon City landlord is explaining that to use the laundry room in the basement I simply need to retrieve three medallions and a fuse
Oh they're having yet another go at a G.I. Joe movie; they must feel confident that they have somebody that people really love writing the script this time
Let me just take a big mouthful of this coffee while I look up who it is
Giovanni Nosferatu; a reflection but no soul
The locations in this are fabulous, either mist-laden and haunted or sleek and corporate
The free-spirited hitchhiker who represents the counterculture alternative to consumerism
The children of the night in this are CARS. CARS! It's so awesome
Checking out ...Hanno cambiato faccia (1971), which is Dracula only set in the world of Italian business
The villain is now a rich guy named Giovanni Nosferatu and the real vampiric horror is the inescapable and inexhaustible hunger of capitalism
block block block
When I see anyone choosing to participate in food discourse in this, the year of our lord 2026:
We went to see Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die then left to grab some food before walking right back in to watch Cold Storage; the ticket guy was like ๐ฎ
'S been a good weekend for modestly-budgeted sci-fi movies

Come to Birmingham this summer if you want your ass kicked... by how cool and fun and welcoming the TFN gang are!
Meet all the best folks... and also meeeeeeeee ๐๐๐
The Young Avengers Epic Collection: The Children's Crusade
Read this tonight and boy howdy does it still hold up; great stuff
Also with one volume left to go, it sure seems like they're rushing to get the entirety of YA collected in Epics before, say... a certain conspicuously unfilled movie slot next summer huh *whistles innocently*
A jar of Sweet & Intense Sour Cherry Curd
Y'all KNOW what day it is
Been saving this for MONTHS all ready for Sweet Lady Pancake
One of the things in my feed this morning was a video from someone who'd "fixed" Jason and the Argonauts by using AI to make the skeletons move more smoothly and I think my eye actually twitched like an annoyed person on a sitcom
It has been NINE MILLION* YEARS since I went to a TFN concert and my body is ready
*eight
The Kotobukiya statue of Gallica from Metaphor: ReFantazio
The statue from behind
Closeup of the statue
Overhead view of the statue showing the wing design
Had enough free time to carefully assemble this this afternoon!
It doesn't really show up in the photos but there's a really nice translucent/glitter effect on her wings that looks great in-hand
Really wish I could do Manchester this year but it's in the middle of busy work time and a bunch of other expenses ๐๐๐
ONE year I'll manage it...
*books Wednesday and Thursday hotel room ready for Main TFN*
*double-checks it's the right week four times because it being July is still throwing me off*
Boy oh boy I could sure go for some fun robot pals time rn
The idea that TigerSharks has never warranted a DVD release but could somehow still justify a luxury toyline is funny to me
Mm-hm, the link between "Oh yeah, I vaguely remember that from when I was seven" and "I want to pay - factoring in shipping - the best part of a hundred bucks for that thing" is only going to exist for a vanishingly small number of people
And those people are the gacha game whales of the toy world
A little cat curled up on a bed
The ammonite is a type of extinct cephalopod that lived from the Jurassic through to the Paleocene period
The Sauvage King, a scenario collection for the Pendragon 6th Edition TTRPG published by Chaosium
New Pendragon release, babyyyyy
A thing I really appreciate about this line is that they've been making sure that all the adventures they release can be run even if you only have the starter set instead of the full core book
How could this happen to me?
I'VE MADE MY MISTAKES
Finished up Wonder Man and that was freaking GREAT
Exactly the kind of thing I've wanted them to do with the shows; a non-superhero narrative but still using the superhero universe
No traditional villain-based plot structure, just the relationship between two guys and some fabulous acting
A few months back there was a guy at the next table droning on and ON about crypto to his obviously bored friends until one of them shut him up by shouting in the peppiest Informecial Guy voice you've ever heard "FINALLY! A currency JUST for paedophiles!"
My own friends had to stop me from choking
There's been a big online argument between the 'let people enjoy things' and 'let people hate things' crowds the last few days and tbh both camps are missing the more reasonable stance that is 'love and hate whatever you want, just try not to be a weird dick in other people's mentions'
Nexus Prime won't see your comments, but all your friends who turn into three different kinds of nothing will
Paramania: An abnormal pleasure in complaining.
Oh wow, they diagnosed the Internet
Not me platting Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
hahaha WHOOPS
Yeah, I guess you could say I had fun with this one
