Please take the time to read this thread, especially if you arenβt disabled or donβt know a disabled person!
Sorry itβs long
Disability is not a dirty secret and I TRY TO NOT treat mine as such.
When we do, thatβs when we end up struggling alone. And we arenβt alone.

I hate the stress of βwhere are my medsβ - so I switched to a pharmacy that has a prescription vending machine- when my meds are ready to collect it sends me a text with a code and I can pick up any time I like :)
21.00 KIER AS FOLK Comedy-drama about the lives of a humble toolmakers son and his increasingly desperate attempts to pretend he didn't know what his friends have been up to. Warning: contains scenes of highly unbelievable excuses.

The WHO never said the pandemic was over, and I'm sorry you were mislead by corporate interests that wanted you to prop up the economy with your health by going back into the office, spending, and traveling.
Here is the WHO in Jan 2024, and December 2024 stating the facts.
COVID pandemic enters 7th year with no end in sight.
"It's strange to think that the COVID-19 pandemic, which sent the world into lockdown 7 years ago never ended. It continues to kill and cripple us, to this day. We simply stopped talking about it."

Following that daily mail headline - the reason isnβt *that* surprising.
Itβs Covid

Oh and the article doesnβt actually say what to do - but the answer is clear - donβt get infected with Covid.

Screenshot of a Daily Mail+ UK Edition article page. The headline reads: βReal reason you're so much sicker than before: No, you're not going mad, your immune system's struggling to cope with everyday bugs. Now doctors have found the surprising causeβ¦ and tell you what to do.β The article is by Luke Chafer, Health Reporter, published at 00:59 GMT on 11 January 2026 and updated at 10:09 GMT the same day. Social media share icons appear below the headline, along with a comment count. An introductory paragraph states that a peer-reviewed article in the British Medical Journal suggested COVID may have been quietly weakening immune systems and largely went unnoticed.

Yeah - we found so many problems we didnβt expect - the rooms that are done are nice - but when tiles literally fall off the bathroom wall, and you find out the shower valve doesnβt work properly and the manufacturer folded 15 years agoβ¦. And the previous owners dog chewed on the kitchen unitsβ¦
We bought knowing we had work to do - house is solid, but was tired - but we had no idea how much work was needed - every job seems to reveal 2 more problems to solve before we can get the original task doneβ¦
4/4
Kitchen needs full repaint, some repairs to cabinets, and re-tile
Dining room needs ceiling plaster repairs, and a full repaint
Garden tidy up,
Thatβs the current list anywayβ¦. Big problem is time vs budget - working full time in the day job leaves limited time to work on the house 3/4
