outside of that, doing the priority contracts tend to make you run around the map and almost always run into other teams working on same contract. but those almost never lead you directly to loot. just like i said earlier i think they need to have an icon on the map for the POIs with weapon rewards
part of the game is learning to identify different types of crates and find the larger high value crates. mostly in larger buildings guarded by a big UESC bot or environmental hazard. and obv you can actively seek out PVP to steal gear
i dont have any firm confirmation on it, but damn it REALLY feels that way. every run i exfil early i only have greens and greys. but when i get stay in a lobby till the last few mins i inevitably find some blues or purples. biggest thing is to not open every single random tiny container.

item economy is also imo a bit too conservative. it seems impossible to find a good gun in normal containers, you need to seek out harder boss bots, other players or get lucky and find a good rng POI location. loot is partially based on time remaining and that is heavily weighted for last 5-10 mins
the starting map Perimeter is really bad for new players. its way too empty. feels like it should have double the amount of UESC bots and prob like 2 extra teams on the map. it def has WAY more down time than Dire Marsh. but even that could prob easily handle a couple bot patrols and an extra team
this is in no way supposed to mean you are doing something wrong. the game itself isnt telling people how to properly interact with it. the UI is DEFFINITELY a major part of that imo. the item icons are all the same and only text descriptions to differentiate them. and the map is basically useless
yeah, thats what im trying to get at. the game seems to be extremely unbalanced in a very odd way. some people are finding lots of fun and action while others are lost walking around and dying before anything interesting happens. the game has fun in it, but it seems like a lot of people cant find it
sadly didnt exfil cause some guy got to exfil before me and i lost the gun fight. it was a fair fight tho, about 20s at roughly 20-50 meters. we both bobbed, weaved and used abilities
and a massive UESC crate that spawned in a bunch more high level bots. i somehow managed to take it all on solo, survived by the skin of my teeth and was able to loot multiple guns i had never seen before and a few really good mods. it was near the edge of the map so i got lucky and no one heard me
i genuinely think the biggest mistake the game made was not putting POIs in the map. just today i was on the dire marsh map doing a solo run and walked into a building i hadnt explored yet and found a fucking weapons locker room filled with tons of high level bots, laser sensors, healing jammers 1/2
Here I am thinking the TTK is actually high and more than enough time to react. I have been doing duo runs and regularly out playing full 3 stacks. And we regularly exfil early with lots of good items and objective completions. As with everything Marathon, the game seems to be very divisive.

the most notable part of the far right buying up legacy news media is that liberals generally always trusted legacy media far more, aside from places like fox news. the downstream effect of this, maybe intentionally, is to have more people distrust media. misinformation will spread easier
