I'm trying to figure out who I should ask, "Is the air-cushion of a WIG craft stable enough to allow for the ultra-tight following distances required for true drafting?" Also whether or not I should format it as a Monty Python meme.
Yup. Call it that.
I was playing Civilization V one time and managed to capture all of Napoleon's territories, leaving him wandering around alone. At about the same time I crafted my first giant battle mech and decided to gift him a unit.
Right now they're pretty bad at putting 2 and 2 together but that's what agi is going to be better at (though possibly very power hungry compared to biological brains). In the meantime though, they have access to all of the internet so they can bring up points you might not have thought of.
I'm coming from game dev where generative ai is abusive, putting artists out of work, but using an llm for information gathering, and, increasingly, analysis, is like having an amplifier for your experience. The more you know what you're doing the more effective they are.
I was grilling chatgpt about something like this the other day, but it was with photons:

For a second I was wondering how you'd slow down, but I guess you just point your working fluid in the opposite direction.

Or wait, that was just bad country music.
So... we have to worry about Mars Attacks death rays now?

That thing's movement is extremely satisfying to watch.
Call it Deus Excrement
This could be a stealth game if you change it to "anywhere just don't get caught".
We've got around 9 damage types, frost, fire, bleed, unholy, etc., with a combo system in development that applies secondary effects and visuals when they combine. The big question is whether enemies will be able to trigger combos on the heroes. #gamedev
The other option is to have your character controller determine the character's movement, and then adjust the playback speed of the animation to match, which is what I started with, but it didn't look right for the skeletons because their average speed is all over the place as they lurch.
Root motion is part of an animation clip. The animator includes how the character's overall position is changing in addition to the motion of the limbs. You can then use it to determine how the character moves through the gameworld, in a way that ensures their footsteps match their movements.
Goblin grenadier grenades are one of the few attacks that damage the whole party. For most attacks, damage distribution is partly random, partly determined by the direction it is coming from - e.g. the back left hero is more likely to be hit by damage coming from the back left. #gamedev
The ghoul really looks like an imp from old school Doom in that shot.
This song hits a little different if you picture Jinx-meets-Titanfall singing about her relationship with her autonomous mech:

Pylandria, where you will fight goblins, the undead, and unknown entities. Check out our world map from our game “DreadReign: The Shadow Fortress”

DreadReign's skeletons drag their feet, yielding a very uneven gait. It complicated writing a replacement for our third-party character controller. We ended up using a nominal velocity for physics, but root motion for positioning, to support physics-based collisions without sliding feet. #gamedev

My painting, "Capybara on a Hill"! I painted it in Clip Studio Paint.

When we upgraded DreadReign to Unity's HDRP, we found out that it's poorly optimized for multiple cameras. So we redid the minimap to work with static images instead of render to texture and a top-down camera, and got like a 40% fps boost.

ChatGPT response to the prompt, "Is developer intervention flagged in your model in a way that you could communicate to users when a result has been influenced by it?" (ctd.)
ChatGPT stated it can't determine when a result has been influenced by developer intervention, partly due to technical limitations, partly philosophical. The philosophical excuse is that people might trust intervention-derived responses more than data-derived ones. Seems a little backwards. (5/?)
