It seems that it has been scientifically proved that some have a distaste to beets like to cilantro. It is genetic. For some, like my daughter in law, cilantro tastes like soap

These look Rich and moist, as well as delicious.🤤 I didn’t grow up with biscuits but learned to do them while in Alberta from an old Scottish friend. I always found that they were very dry and a bit hard. That recipe is a lot simpler and has water instead of buttermilk. I’m definitely trying these 🙏🏼
I created these in the 1990s for an art installation at one of my restaurants. The originals were rendered in graphite on cotton rag. I’ve refined them using computer graphics programs, smoothing and sharpening some while preserving the rough character of others.
