This is a view of Dinas Head, framed by the entrance of a cave on Newport Sands, Pembrokeshire, Wales - as if through a keyhole - on 17 January 2026. It is a bright blue, sunny day with a band of fluffy white clouds forming a line above the headland. The texture of the sides of the cave is highlighted and wet patches are tinged blue, as are the rockpools at the base of the cave.

This is an image taken at golden hour in Gorges d'Heric in Herault, Occitanie, France on 28 December 2025. The sky is intense blue and cloudless and the last rays of the sun have turned the tips of the rocky peaks of the gorge gold. A fast flowing river - leading the eye into the photo - is rushing through large rocks. But, in the shallows, the water looks like liquid gold.

This is a photo of Pentre Ifan - a stunning Neolithic burial chamber in Pembrokeshire, Wales - deep in perfect snow early on 20 November 2025 following a visit from a meteorological phenomenon known as the "Pembrokeshire Dangler". The sky was grey and cloudy, and it was snowing quite heavily - so, whilst it may look like a black and white photo at a first glance, it isn't.

#PentreIfan, our local #Neolithic #burialchamber, looking even more otherworldly than usual last week. What a privilege it was to see it like this, with not even a single footprint in the #snow.

This is an image of a Welsh mountain pony running through deep snow on the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, Wales following a visit by a meteorological phenomenon known as the "Pembrokeshire Dangler" on 20 November 2025. The white-faced pony is looking towards the camera, and snow flakes can be seen again its brown body. The shape and lean of a tree directly behind the pony reflects its forward movement, and more trees and shrubs can be seen in the distance.

Cantering silently in deep #snow, this Welsh mountain #pony surprised me as I was busy taking pics in the opposite direction last week 🩶

A band of grey sky can be seen above the white hills at the top of the image, and simple lines of fences, gates and shrubs look like they have been etched on the snow. We woke up to over 6 inches of snow last week in Pembrokeshire, Wales on 20 November 2025 caused by what's known as the "Pembrokeshire Dangler". Amidst the widespread winter wonderland in our garden, ice hanging from our washing line caught my eye, and I was transfixed as droplets of water appeared and fell. This close-up image shows the structure of the ice against a background of snow as a droplet falls from one of the tips.

Clouds, a stone wall and the shape of the hills all lead the eye to the medieval tower and the mount behind, and a billowing vertical cloud behind the tower makes it almost look like a chimney.
