Sick to do that yourself! Ice cold!!
If you're making a puzzle game (or adjacent genre) or enjoy playing them, we have a Discord community for you. It's called NoClueπ‘ and it's all about giving support to devs, content creators, helping players find their new obsession and much more.
Have a look! π

Do you have any preferred way to receive input or feedback? I have a few things Iβve thought about.
Iβve only played using the touch pads on my steam deck, and it works well even without controller support!
Iβm like 4 hours in but I just canβt win π itβs addictive π
I have not been told how to fish, but I have received a fish π£π€·ββοΈ
Still not sure if itβs possible to do this without contacting Steam Support. Had no idea it was such a niche use case πΆ
Yayy, it took a bit to actually go live but the demo for Wunder: The Double-sided Deckbuilder is out now!!
Gonna make more noise about it tomorrow, for now I sleep π

Cool!! Is it all shaders or how did you build it?
Has anyone enabled Steam Cloud for a Steam playtest? Is it possible?
I've gotten it to work for the main game. But when I try to enable it for the playtest build, it doesn't work. It's all like "you need to select the tick-box in your store page info", but that tick-box isn't there for playtests π
I was gonna be all like "already wishlisted, so can't help you there", but when I double checked, I hadn't!! Have now though!
Draknek & Friends have their βnew voices grantβ which I think is really cool. More stuff like that would be awesome for sure
Oh no. That sucks πI hadnβt thought about it myself either until I loaded the game up for the first time.
I hope you get struck with a genius idea that solves it without hassle π
Oh, right.. Yeah, that makes sense.
The plan is to go for PC only, so Iβm mostly concerned with ultra wide monitors and stuff like that.
But I will try to draw the backgrounds so that the edges are not that important from here on, just to cover the Deck.
Thanks for the input!
I don't want the black bars on Steam Deck, but I also don't want to draw huge images to fit any possible screen resolution. I'm not sure how other hand drawn static camera 2D games handles this. Should probably play more point and click games before making my own π
My solution for removing the black bars at the top and bottom of the game when playing on Steam Deck. Check if the current resolution is close enough to the target resolution. If it is, scale the contents so it covers the screen. Is this a good approach you think?
I see! Congrats on the nomination! And thank you for the cool solution to a forgotten mystery π
So many great games in the category too! Weird that our game even got nominated. But cool!
Dude, that is craaaazy!! π€― Nominated for an award and had no idea. Such an honor haha! How did you find it??
Hello everyone!
We are really excited to announce that 1 Billion Spells is finally on Steam! β¨
You can request access to the playtest on the Steam page:

Hope you like the new and upcoming updates :)
Now THIS is a stream idea πΏπ€
Okay itβs more that itβs the only one I have haha! And itβs good enough π
New playtest build is live!
Some ui elements are a bit small, and Iβll try to remove those bars at the top and bottom, but the controls work fine!
A grey rabbit in a pretty blue polka-dot dress with a carrot-patterned apron over it holds up a two-tiered carrot cake that she has just baked and frosted. The cake holds a single lit candle. This was drawn as a Draw This in Your Style challenge: The original character design was by Anastasiia Panchenko (@lapin.siia on IG)
A sunny summer scene at a tiny tea table outside a rustic cottage surrounded by bushes and trees. A young witch, surrounded by frogs and wearing purple robes and a witch's hat, talks animatedly to an ordinary looking boy. They're both holding teacups but he's looking VERY nervously at his, and also at the frog on the table. The book title reads "The Tea Witch's Retreat" with the author's name "Christina Warwick."
Luigi (from the Mario Bros games) in a rockabilly style. He's got a black and green bowling shirt in with an "L" embroidered on his chest, rolled-cuff jeans and Converse All-Stars. He's also got a large pompadour, sideburns, and lots of Mario-related tattoos. He's holding a large plumber's wrench.
In a dark nighttime hallway with huge arched windows, a girl and a werewolf (also a girl) are sneaking around. Both are wearing school uniforms, although the werewolf's has ripped a bit from her transformation. She has just knocked over a small table and broken a vase and the girl is shushing her. Through one of the large windows, we see more school buildings and a full moon. The book cover title is "Boarding School Werewolf" by Jo Barnett. At the top of the cover, it says "School can be a transformative experience."
Because it's my birthday, you have to repost my art. π
(I don't make the rules, that's just the way it is on Bluesky!)

What can I say, itβs the goat of controllers!
(and also the only controller I have, but that has nothing to do with it!)
Game is now playable with controller! I added some shortcuts to make it easier, and input hints that change depending on whether you use keyboard or controller. Two small fixes left to do before I update the Steam playtest build
Damn thatβs menacing π³ I donβt know what it says about me that I like the sphere and the cube. But that looks cool!!
πGambonanza playtest is live right now on Steamπ
If youβre curious to see what the game looks like and want to join the adventure, your feedback is more than welcome!
