When I said I wanted Gen Z to change the world, I did not mean these two clowns, and I did not mean this

Interesting that among the few advance plans we made are those that benefit Russia. See my longer essay on Oligarchic Corridors.

We may be “witnessing the fullest expression of the most inhumane weapons of the twenty-first century: autonomous bombs and missiles. Their “autonomy” refers to the fact that humans need not be “in the loop” in any meaningful way when deciding where to target or whether to launch such weapons.“
Whatever you think of Platner, this is an A+ response. The "boys in girls sports" issue impacts a tiny fraction of people. The far right has blown it up into a national crisis, and it's cynical fearmongering meant to distract us from real problems.
Elon Musk has already started plans to launch a million satellites.
Yes. A MILLION.
This is a colossally bad idea, and it's not too late to make your voice heard. I explain everything:

delusional- would this fit under being mentally ill or mentally incompetent or does being religious/having faith just absolve crazy thinking 🤔 🤷♀️
Over 160 schoolgirls are dead. Anthropic and Palantir executives must immediately testify and tell the public whether their AI is responsible.
mayb it’s knowing theyve done something sociopathic themselves or have billionaires ambitions & dont want it seen as a bad thing.. or theyresheltered bcuz i take ur statement as a studied written about truth - they rise to the top w ruthlessness & disregard for ppl planet
Columbia business school graduate attempts to educate me--a business school professor for 9 years--on the important ethical content taught in business schools.
The Harvard B School ethics program I attended (1st yr of MBA program, required part of my PhD) involved 6 weeks of ungraded work in which we read the Pinto & Tylenol case studies: the students concluded Ford was right to let ppl die & Johnson/Johnson wrong to pay for safety seals. Moral monsters.
One group commented that I "used too many words."
Another just could not grasp any motive for human behavior other than profit, so most of what I was talking about--public goods--simply didn't make sense to them. Kind of like Trump thinking vets who died for their country were "chumps."
If you consider yourself an introvert, like myself.. I want to recommend the book Quiet by Susan Cain! It's extremely eye opening, and might help you accept your unique power. We are the Yin to the extroverted Yang.
You are not weird, you are not shy, you are perfect! ❤️
Saw a great line today that, at least to me, pinpoints when our society started to fail. ‘At some point Western culture transformed from a culture of character to a culture of personality’. (Paraphrasing Susan Cain). Has really struck me today & I wonder if we can rescue what’s been lost.
Good for them ♥️
Thread. (TLDR: the House of Lords DCC report on AI came down hard on the correct side of the debate, rather than siding with industry lobbyists.)
THREAD. Late last summer I moved my newsletter away from Substack. I was not comfortable with the site's political choices, did not want to give 10% of my income to venture capitalists & felt Substack had reneged on their commitment to long form writing. My newsletter is now here: www.tom-cox.com
The Trump Administration is attempting to bypass environmental and safety reviews for Advanced Nuclear Reactors.
We’re opposing.
When it comes to nuclear energy and public safety, there should be more safety and environmental protections, not less.

Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested the military’s AI could be responsible for the bombing of the girls school in Iran that killed over 150 children.
Are Americans paying more for electricity so Pete Hegseth can use AI data center driven weapons to kill children?
“No stupid rules of engagement”
NEW: Trump just said the quiet part out loud.
“Iran is calling asking how to make a deal… I told them they’re a little late. We want to fight now more than they do.”
At the same time the Pentagon says the war could last 8 weeks, not 4. Diplomacy is on the table — but Washington is choosing war.1/
"Hegseth’s vision of the American military is preoccupied with an ideal of the male form—one that’s a kind of modern mishmash of Spartan imagery and homoerotic fascist machismo. But that is only one facet of the Trumpian right’s fixation on the body." www.liberalcurrents.com/pervert-poli...
So the fact that we bombed a girls elementary school, while likely using AI for targeting, is going to be a major headline story dominating American news coverage when exactly?
well thank the universe- had to run a couple meetings, host a larger event, lots of interactions lately & have this weird feeling. googled “that exposed feeling introvert” & read 6 things that resonate- nailed it. reassured & need to have not just downtime but me/joy time soon.
Steve-O got a ruptured testicle by letting one of his castmates jump on his crotch with a pogo stick and he is unquestionably more morally sophisticated than most of our sitting lawmakers
thank you for doing this!
It’s time to reveal the billionaire donors flooding American elections with potent dark money. I’m introducing the DISCLOSE Act with Senator Whitehouse and Rep. Pappas to make our money-drenched elections more transparent for all citizens.

It doesn't make sense that the president of the United States who insists, insists on being dominant in essentially ever relationship…”
Fox: "Noem faced fallout over the ICE deportation campaign in MN, public statements that she made and then, this week, her testimony on Capitol Hill. Her $200 million ad campaign sometimes featuring her on horseback, claiming that the president, had approved of that, reportedly upset him."
