It is an existential imperative that we begin a serious global dialogue about how βexpertsβ as the media uses the term, consistently lag behind us laymen when it comes to Knowing Some Bullshit When We See It.

One the most complex, and humbling, images I have tackled as an illustrator - Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
I was commissioned for this after Kieth Parkinson requested that I be contacted to execute this work for a company he helped create, Sigil Games. Keith could not do the work himself...
Artist! Quote with long hair art β¨οΈ
I was just venting to a friend the other day about how 10 years ago it was likeβ¦ unheard of to see this volume of projects get so far into development before the company funding it decides βproject cancelled, everyone go homeβ how much money is being thrown away on art no one gets to see?
Demihuman IS Ajin. The site translated some of that stuff
It was alright. I had more in mind but this time I could stop at 9.
If an artist isn't able to visualise their ideas on paper (or on the screen) without the use of genAI, they are not an artist. I know some artists who aren't capable of visualising things in their head, yet they can still create stunning art. I know others who brainstorm their ideas and compositions with literal scribbles and stick figures, only to end up with a beautifully rendered piece. There is absolutely no excuse for a self-respecting artist to use genAI at any point during their process.
Someone over on Instagram saying that genAI is bad for art, but can still be used by artists who have trouble visualising their ideas.
I had to reply.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

A stupid ass edit of Hulk as a skilled artist.
Whenever people ask me if I'm a gifted artist.
I couldn't make you all wait so much again, so I took some time to do another this morning.
Have a blessed day!

Today is the birthday of Will Eisner (March 6, 1917-Jan. 3, 2005), one of the most influential American comic creators of all time.
It's not easy, huh. I had a lot of fun with Two Thrones as well, but that one has a lackluster ending. WW also had the Sand Wraith which was so rad.
My first Halo was Halo 3, around when I was 14-15. I was in love with ODST as well, but only had one slot for both.
Well i hit 1.3k followers so time for a extra #fangsoutFriday #artshare

A huge monster reminiscent of a massive elephant carries a white city on its back. The monster is fleshy, pinkish, has multiple curve tusks, many tentacle-like proboscides, and walks on many shambling legs, some akin to that of a spider. It has two heads, one on each side of the city, each with four golden eyes and a small flame flickering above its head. A cloudy sky is shown in the background and mists surround its walking ground.
A fanart of White Glint from Armored Core: For Answer. The AC slides away from the viewer, across red, rocky plains. In the distance we can see the skyline of a city, deep in the red, and yellowish-orange skies above. On the ground under White Glint, its logo appears inside its shadow, stretching across the red terrain as if painted directly on it.
A huge, scarred and glabrous humanoid stands, clad in black, leathery bat wings from his back. The monster joins his long-clawed hands together and looks down with his fanged, scarred visage upon a man in the foreground, looking up to the monster from a cliff. The cliff is covered in a white substance (snow, ash?) that is marked with the footsteps of the man rising over it, and many skulls are buried beneath the surface. The man is much, much smaller than the giant vampire, at least ten times smaller, if not more. A black, cracked ring of metal hovers the towering vampire's head like a halo, and projects light around it in the otherwise black background.
A lithe, feature-less figure, covered in a silvery sheen, sits crouched on a dark slab in a cavern, its arms folded. Reflecting slabs around the creature reflect the rest of the dimly lighted cavern, except for the figure, which doesn't appear in any reflection. The cavern is filled with black stone pillars, some of which are broken, revealing a hidden, bright quartz-like quality inside the rock.
'Sup, I'm Melfist! My dayjob is teaching and in my free time I'm a comic artist and illustrator. I've been developing a massive saga through ttrpgs that I'll turn into actual comics someday. I also do some commissions and fanarts from time to time. Thanks for the artshare!

I had to think a lot about #my9games because there's too many I had in mind. Turns out I can't decide.
First pic is the most meaningful. Second is about some AAA games that shaped me from formative years. Third and fourth are a mix of both as I kept going back to it.
I need to draw again soon, I'm rabid
