Happy birthday to the MOS 6502! It was 50 years ago today that people were able to buy their first samples of the chip from a jar in a hotel room at WESCON.

Here's my oldest 6502 from the 52nd week of 1975. Still works perfectly!

I am getting recommended your old videos (as well as others) now. I just sort by my subscriptions to get around it but it’s incredibly annoying. Important to note that the old videos being recommended I’ve already watched as well.

When YouTube decides your subscribers aren't interested, it buries the video and stops recommend it.

The delivery that arrived Thursday has been opened, a #Commodore COLT PC-10/PC-20!! They packed it very well & it is safe to say it arrived perfectly, plus the machine is clean inside & out in great condition!! Next to do is boot it up, just need more free time for that.

My Qume DT/8 used for archiving and imagine 8" floppies

After writing a disk, I imagine it again to make sure I got a good write. This is what a BAD disk looks like.

After cleaning the heads and then using another floppy, this is what a good write looks like.

It took a while and I had to throw away seven bad disks, but I was able to finally write three good 8" floppies.

Tonight, I spent several hours just trying to write three 8" double sided floppies using a Greaseweazle. It turned out to be a huge ordeal due to having multiple bad disks which clogged the drive's heads.

In the end, it worked out! The good old Qume DT/8 drive is a real workhorse.
