Shuttlecraft finally assembled and ready for the away mission.

Marketing is supposed to make us want to see a movie, right?
I swear PlayStation is deliberately sabotaging PS4 users. Itβs now nearly every time I try to play a game on the network it wonβt connect. Maddening.
Patrick Stewart is my favorite actor. And that means I try to watch everything he is in.
Tonight is βConspiracy Theoryβ, directed by Richard Donner. Itβs long and rough thus far.
Good for Terry. I hope he has an opportunity to write more Star Trek in the future.
Thank god Jared Polis is out of office at the end of his term. What an absolute embarrassment heβs been recently
Scream 7 is awful. The type of movie the original commented on. Fully out of ideas. End it.
In my opinion, for the best. Take a break. Regroup with some new leadership
It feels very good to cancel HBO Max & Paramount+ right now.
A general reminder that the "vote blue no matter who" slogan is a fucking disgrace. I won't vote for a person who is forced upon us again. It's a losing strategy.
The November midterms can't come fast enough. And then the real work begins. Getting elected democrats to have a fucking spine and fight every last bit of this.
Honestly, you gotta think George W Bush is having a pretty good morning.
Good day for the βhe wonβt start warsβ Trump voters.
This is only a minor impact of a potential Warner Brothers purchase by Paramount-Skydance, but the future of Star Trek is iffy at best. Paramount would own far more franchise properties which are arguably more popular/valuable than Trek. Gotta think Trek would be deprioritized in that situation.
Stating the obvious here: this is very bad.
Last Sunday at our local Star Trek meetup, I asked a couple fans what they enjoyed about Starfleet Academy. It was lovely listening to what others enjoy about a show I don't care for. Diversity of opinion and view is a good thing. I wish more Star Trek convo online was like that.

I canβt stop looking at what the Oval Office now looks like. Truly gaudy stuff.
Iβve long been hoping for a resurgence in physical media interest and video rental stores. I love to see this.

Bryce Harper is tired of you asking about why he doesn't smile enough -- and many other thoughts heading into his 15th MLB season: www.nytimes.com/athletic/706...
I need to watch this. Wonder Boys is one of my favorite Chabon novels (and he's my favorite living novelist)
At a Star Trek meetup later today, I'm inevitably going to be asked my thoughts on Starfleet Academy and I have my lecture prepared.
A grassy yard, with long ditch dug out (bad!) and the saucer section of the NCC-1701-D placed to replicate the crash landing from Star Trek: Generations. Top center in the back is a mural of a deer overlooking the yard. Yes, it's super cool.

The ditch-digging culprit after the fact!!! Archer the dog (wearing her dapper black-and-white checkered bowtie.
Archer will not stop digging up this spot in our backyard, so I decided to turn it into a win-win. #StarTrek #Generations
Rhys Hoskins is one of my favorite players. Heβs not great anymore. He wouldnβt have a position. But man, still want it
One of the great things about this growing community is that all opinions are heard. It is a breath of fresh air to have constructive, and sometimes critical, discussions about the new show. It's not the reductive and often mean-spirited stuff you find online.
For my Star Trek community: if you live in the Denver-area, there's been a monthly Star Trek gathering for the past few months. There's another one this weekend. Open to all. Conversation has been fun. www.meetup.com/denver-ten-f...
Valuable discussion on the Starfleet Academy use of DS9 & Sisko in this episode.
"Close to retirement?"
"Not planning on it..."

This is a fantastic video essay and puts into words pretty much all my complaints about how contemporary Star Trek looks.
I'm glad someone else dislikes the "space fog" as much as I do.
I got up and left Star Trek: Into Darkness when Spock did the "Khan" yell. Pretty much everything that happened in the movie up til then was stupid, but that was the moment I was like "nope" and just decided it was best to leave.
