TIL Mr. Bean was an actual alien dropped on Earth. Which probably explains why he behaved the way he did. This whole time I thought he was a clumsy oddball and the rest of England just embraced him and was like, “Take a load of this funny guy”.

Of Thee I Would Possibly Sing By: Kell Robertson

what magic have we buried in the backyard
with the old parts of things that never worked
to begin with and where is Hank Williams
and where is Lightnin Hopkins and where
my Billie Holiday can you sing your blues and oh my love where has our heart gone?

i just encountered Ben Lerner and his works today. i’m loving his analysis on voice characterisation and how poetry/fiction genres bleed into each other. next i’ll be reading “The Hatred of Poetry”, which is an ironically apt title for enthusiasts of the genre.

👾 coolest thing this month by far is seeing the International Space Station whizzing by over the suburban neighborhood. it was bigger, and brighter even, than Jupiter himself.

i’ve just begun reading the first of the Monk & Robot series. Becky Chambers writes really introspective sci-fi.

what makes a sick day feel better at home? sitting under blankets on a cold winter day & watching a Moomin TV marathon. oh, and finally catching up on laundry.
