i'm not sure how to change my mom's mind on this either. i've been trying the "they're coming for you too eventually" approach, and she does respond more to news that involves asian people (again, self preservation)

i love vending and want to do art full time one day, but i'd never lie to prospective artists that it's easy

saw this after wincing at my flight prices to a con. i might not be full time but your cost-to-revenue ratio looks similar to mine, it's genuinely depressing how much gets burned on necessary costs
