No worries, Poss. I get the counter argument. But I think they have an obligation to the country to position ourselves more critically than we are. I have no sense of where they stand, but it feels all in. Carney and Starmer drew lines: I have no sense our govt has even picked up the ruler.

The tweet reads: Today, I want to be very clear -

The more than 40,000 who served our nation in the 20 years of the war in Afghanistan did so with extraordinary bravery and made our nation proud.

The 47 who made the ultimate sacrifice will forever have their names etched on our nation’s most sacred roll of honour.

For those who were injured physically, and mentally and emotionally, our nation remains in your debt.

The brave deeds of each of these people now form part of the history of our nation. And in thanking them for their service, all of us- in knowing they carried our flag- feel an immense sense of pride.

Is there anything more modern-day-Labor than Richard Marles defending Australia troops against slander without mentioning the slander was committed by Donald Trump?
Surface level concern underpinned by utter cowardice and complicity.

We knew Ningaloo’s coral bleaching was severe. But what we found 6 months later was still a shock Mounting evidence shows the state of coral reefs is worsening despite concerted local conservation. The answer is public pressure for meaningful climate action.

Tell the UK Government they must do better for nature! I've just emailed my MP to tell them what nature means to me and that I want it to stay protected. Will you take action too?

They treat nature like it has no voice.

But it does. Yours, ours, and millions more.

If you believe nature deserves better than this, make sure your MP hears it loud and clear:

‘Fossil fuel giants finally in the crosshairs’: Cop30 avoids total failure with last-ditch deal It took some oblique wording, but Saudi Arabia made a last-minute decision to sign deal that marks departure for Cop

“COP30 was supposed to be the COP of truth and implementation. Unless nations reckon with the ugly truths revealed here, there will be major repercussions for multilateral climate agreements and more importantly, for the lives of communities who are on the frontlines of the climate crisis.”

ACCC urged to probe 'distorted research' behind government gas policy Advocacy group Climate Integrity has accused the gas industry of using "distorted research", produced by the accounting firm EY, to influence the Australian government's Future Gas Strategy.

What do you get when Big Gas lobbyists AEP get scandal ridden consultants EY to do “modelling” to influence the Government’s policies?

For the first time, scientists can show the impact of gas project emissions Fossil fuel companies and governments argue it's not possible to link climate impacts to specific projects, but Australian researchers have done the numbers.

Groundbreaking research released today measures the health impacts that Woodside's Scarborough Gas Project will cause. It shows the harm to our health and the health of our environment.

We cannot pretend that greenhouse gas emissions from any one fossil fuel project don't count.

All the crap about fusion, dyson spheres etc is misdirection. This is what they're *actually* doing:
