I agree. I realize they’re dead and there’s no point in rolling my eyes at them, but this is a made-up aristocratic fairytale and I don’t love those— it actually reminds me of the fluffy way that people talked about Prince Charles and Diana when they first got married
That is a good category, someone should make a list of actual great movies & TV shows that capture that Manhattan.… The two that come to mind for me are the (very different) movies Can You Ever Forgive Me? and Definitely Maybe. And SATC, too

Do I have to watch this JFKJr/Carolyn B thing?
