The common advice is to have a polished landing page and a waitlist before you launch.
That's sound advice if you're a great builder.
But I have to do the opposite, so my project doesn't remain as wishful thinking.

I think just building a fully functional and decent looking SaaS is a lot of work. The thought of marketing on top of that 🥴

Building an app with all the desired functionality and a great UI is a massive amount of work, often resulting in nothing shipped.
That's why getting a minimal, rough version out the door puts you ahead of those still waiting for perfection.
Get ahead by shipping more. Perfect can wait.
I feel like the output generated by AI requires quite a bit of work before it gets as polished as the components found in Tailwind's library

Exactly! You don't have to buy into the myth of the 80-hour work week or sacrifice everything you have to be successful. It's completely possible to test ideas and build businesses with very little risk. You just have to be smart with your time.

But do not draw that conclusion too quickly, given you still believe what you are doing is valuable. There must be others like you, since none of us are that unique after all.

After years away from coding, it feels like I’m starting over, like a junior again!
To properly relearn the fundamentals, I’m avoiding over-relying on AI.
It may be slow now, but it’ll pay off in the long run.
This is the way to build up a side hustle with the minimum amount of risk.
Wish this would be promoted more instead of the usual toxic hustle culture!
