2. The way being “old” exists as a cultural stasis point rather than something in relation to time
I think it’s perfectly okay to say an age is old while saying the elderly has lived a life full of tech and culture we find modern
If the average lifespan in the US is late 70s than yeah a character in their 70s in the US is old, and that’s not bad
