Rest in power Carolann, I am glad that 2 of the 3 grandkids were able to be there with you today. In indigenous culture, there are no goodbyes, only, Ndm al gyik niidsn (until we next meet)
I bet it is! We should get together for coffee soon and I can check it out.
Beautiful Jim, a true piece of history
There’s also a Fujinon variant in M42
It’s a Tessar design, with an extra element to make it a bit faster than 2.8, but not enough to make it all the way to 2.0
I have a Ricoh 55/2.2 I love, it’s a fun lens with some swirly bokeh and soap bubble, in the right conditions
Is it a 55/1.4? There is a possibility that is a Tomioka, I know Ricoh was one of the rebadged lenses at one point.

I used to have one of those, lovely lenses, for the right situation, but too contrasty for my taste when it came to portraits, so I traded in towards a Dual Range Summicron
My Canon P has been alternating between the Nikkor HC 5cm/2.0 and the 50/1.2

It’s been a film stock I have only the past few years fallen into appreciation with, I intend to continue to work with it.
