Thankfully they had the adult brown Jedi belt back in stock at Galaxy’s Edge today because the cheap one I got was not working. The belt buckle is painted foam and the fabric under the belt is about 4” too short but I’m fixing that today!

There were a couple of times prison runs were organized on the Starcruiser after all the story was done for the day. It was certainly something… to witness

Someone was dressed as Geode at the High Republic meetup and they didn’t move the entire time. It was absolutely incredible.

I really started looking at the details as I was reminiscing. The corners don’t line up, her stitches meandered, and the hand embroidery isn’t even.
It doesn’t need to be perfect to show the care she put into it, a good reminder for me when I get frustrated at myself during a project.

My parents brought a blanket my grandma made me the last time they came to visit. I started looking at it today while working on a sewing project. Even though I didn’t start sewing until after she passed away, I feel so grateful knowing we have this love of sewing and embroidery in common.

(It would not actually. I have wheat and dairy allergies.)

I think eating a handful of cheez-its would really make this week not suck so bad

Sewing Tip: Even if your fabric is the same on both sides, mark your right and wrong sides. I’m on my second seam rip and resew of a sleeve that was apparently correct the first time.

White, brown, and gold fabrics folded and placed on top of each other inside of a shopping cart. The receipt with measurement information is on top of the pile.

Fabric acquired today!! I bought way more than I’ll likely need but since all Joann’s are closing I wanted to grab extra.
I’ve decided to make my own tunic. Next decision is whether to do bell sleeves or not.

Also shout out to my Saja tunic for coming in handy to help with fit. Jury is still out on whether I’ll make my own tunic or be stopping at Galaxy’s Edge to buy a generic Jedi one

The pattern I’m using is meant to be laced up on the sides. I’m going to make adjustments so there is no part going under my arm, instead everything will be secured by the belt

I’ve never taken time to make a mockup for any sewing project but this is one I want to get right since I’m modifying the pattern I’m working from. I’m going to take off some of the length in the front. I’m undecided about the split in the back, but I think it’ll help with ease of wear.
