To be fair, it was because I had made a prediction that Quaxly would become a conquistador while only knowing surface knowledge that conquistadors bad but unaware HOW bad. A silly incident considering there’s an official Pokémon based on Napoleon Bonaparte.

I've been asked across all socials (even twitter which i don't use anymore) and honestly i'm unsure if i'll make my own WiWa starter predictions, or if I'll sit this one out lmao

there's already been so many really cool ones made, and the last time I did ones for SV i got fuckin death threats

The only ones that dont have heavy discrepancies between their evolutions are the first 3 gens (arguably the 4th as Prinplup and Empoleon have a number of differences) and gen 5. Gen 6 is probably when they started changing up the design formula.

Starters in the main series always have drastic changes between their lines. Look at the differences between Galar’s 2nd and 3rd stages. Crocalor ➡️ Skeledirge is also quite the change up. Frogadier and Greninja too. So it’s not an uncommon thing, and the GA starters still fit the primary themes.

oh no it's all good! I just wanted to add clarification on what my process is

I know there's a lot of folks that expect the states themes to lean one way or another, I try not to do super predictable things so people have a little surprise

When figuring out the water starter line, I was picking between a crab and another aquatic animal at the time, but the aspect of a crab slasher sounded cooler in my head so i ran with it lol

I won't be going super obvious routes with most states, as I like to use more unique ideas if they're there
