I’m on here, along with a host of brilliant writers who could make a real difference to your plans for the National Year of Reading. Many thanks to @schoolreadinglist.bsky.social for compiling this.
Delighted to get my hands on a copy of this verse novel by Brian Moses, illustrated by Bethan Welby and published by @scallywagpress.bsky.social Official publication day March 5th - this Thursday, World Book Day.
Post-Whitley Bay parkrun. A bit grey. Then a bit sunny. But always loads of warmth. #parkrun #WhitleyBay
My daughter and her boyfriend forced me to spend the weekend drinking Bavarian beer. I will never forgive them. #Bavaria #Bayern #Germanbeer #Deutschland #Germany #bavariantourism
I recommend it. Lovely and friendly.
Thanks for the re-post! I’d forgotten about this one. 🐈 😊
Post-Westpark (München) Parkrun. I set off for #WhitleyBay but, half-asleep, I took a wrong turn at Seashells chippy. 🤷♂️ #parkrun #München @parkrunuk.bsky.social #deutschland #laufen
Delighted to appear on @RebeccaLeek_ ‘s Ditty Bag podcast. So pleased she read and said nice things about On Mice, a poem I really enjoyed writing - originally on the fab Tyger Tyger. Hear all at rebeccaleek.substack.com/p/episode-25
It nearly always does. Lifts the spirits!
Post-Whitley Bay parkrun. Mostly grey and a meh run for me, but the light over the headland made it all worthwhile. @parkrunuk.bsky.social #parkrun #WhitleyBay
Thrilled to appear alongside @stefankarlsson.bsky.social @attielime.bsky.social & Jacqueline on @brianmosespoet.bsky.social blog celebrating reading @nationalliteracytrust #goallin @booktrust.org.uk brian-moses.blogspot.com?m=1
Wonderful school visit yesterday - invited by a teacher with real passion for reading. School has a great library & librarian. I used a new poem, The Wheels on the Reading Bus, as a prompt. Y6 made it their own. (Poem to appear on Brian Moses’ blog.) Great start to National Year of Reading. #Goallin
Lovely to start the new year with another appearance in Aotearoa/New Zealand’s Flash Frontier. Thanks again to Michelle & team for supporting my writing. #flashfiction #microfiction flashfrontier.com/december-202...
Ive had a few nice acceptances recently for flash fictions and children’s poetry, but it’s great that people are still being kind about this. Thanks - always - to all at @theemmapress.bsky.social and @reenamakwana.bsky.social. And the School Reading List of course!

Post- Whitley Bay parkrun as part of a 10K. Didn’t necessarily take the most direct route. The book on top of the pile has a Priory Lane stamp - a school in Scunthorpe I left fifty years ago. Finally got round to reading it,so now I can return it. #whitleybay #parkrun #scunthorpe
Post-parkrun coffee and words from @attielime.bsky.social and others. That there Bay was wonderfully windy today. #parkrun #whitleybay
