I'm not sure that my comment fits your criteria of starting a healthy debate, which I certainly favour. Today's corporate culture of greed, corrupt influencing, and total sellout of ideals leaves little faith in coporations being better stewards of space than they are of planet Earth.

It should be an exciting prospect. However, given the morally corrupt nature of corporate America, I couldn't think of worse people to be allowed to explore space, with the lone caveat being that any corporate titan wanting to slip their earthly confines do so strictly on a one way voyage.

There's no doubt that people are more anxious and depressed these days. To imply that cannabis, amongst all the possible triggers, is the cause of these afflictions is dismissive and, all too predictably, disingenuous. More likely that they are using pot because they are anxious and depressed.
