Agree! Here in the US, people are influenced by the religious perspective even without realizing it. Even if they don't consider themselves to be religious. It influences both politics and interpersonal interactions.

Some academic publishing contract advice: make sure your contract specifies 1. a qualified human copyeditor will copyedit on the MS; 2. a qualified human proofreader will proofread the MS; 3. that production must have a proper system for version control (!).

I will go further and say that people using the "r"-word are hoping that bringing it back opens the door to bringing back the "n"-word, and is strongly correlated with the people who want to carve off trans rights as a stepping stone to claw back gay rights in general

Dogs are very important to me :) I love hearing about their expressions and what they're doing, which lots of alt texts don't include, especially the AI ones. Yours are great.

Think about how annoyed you get when your connection is bad and photos aren't loading so you don't know what people are talking about.

That's what Blind people regularly have to deal with when you fail to copy and paste text from your articles into alt text, fellow journalists.

Our new Mayor uses alt text? Most politicians and journalists can't be bothered. Amazing! Thanks!

Yeah I really don't get it. My mom isn't going to start a new exercise routine at this age. She also has other contraindications. But the subject of these medications keeps coming up.
