Yessss, please! I hope they start human trials soon and that it doesnβt take years and years to roll out

Yes, that is my understanding of how the current vaccine works. So this one is more about streamlining the amount of shots needed (also itβs for over 50s only π). Itβs not the magic bullet weβre hoping for: bsky.app/profile/tidy...
Thank you so much!
My French isnβt good enough to tell, but is this vaccine preventative, as in it stops transmission or does it simply keep you from getting sick?
Well shoot!! Whatβs the point of it then? Back to the drawing board I guess, le sighhhh
Interestingβ¦I hope there is a way to disable that? Maybe with the paid version? π
Yes!! Let me know if you like it! Iβm gonna try it out today too.
If the board/admin of a nonprofit is all white or has just one token person of color, RUN. There is no way they have done the work to create a space that is safe and accessible for everyone.
Pfffft, thatβs not even how it works. Thanks but no thanks for your vote of non-confidence. There are plenty of valid reasons for using a tool like this, like learning disabilities for example.
More proof that gender norms are just made up nonsense.
I saw a recommendation for LanguageTool on a different thread, but I havenβt tried it yet. Itβs multilingual though which is cool!! And far less obnoxious compared to grammarly
For sure, but itβs not reasonable to have someone edit every single email. I wish! I am a freelancer and do not have the means to have someone on retainer.
Ewwww! I would love it if grammarly died in a fire! Are there any better alternatives?
No not fake, Iβm quoting a Black man with Touretteβs who literally showed it was possible. I understand it may not be for everyone, but that is still no excuse for the BBC to leave it in the show. Hilarious calling me Trumpy while you are trying justify racism lol. Your hate speech is no better!
No, ppl are mad at the BBC for not editing it out, when they edited out the gay slur & free Palestine. And there are ways to train the brain out of a tic like that, other people with Touretteβs have confirmed this. So your crusade is infantilizing a disabled person, which is just as bad.
Cutting off Medicaid to Minnesota is social murder.
People will die without healthcare.
People will become disabled without healthcare.
This is a policy choice meant to inflict maximum suffering.
Healthcare is a human right.
But itβs not just elites, itβs also all the regular Black folks who heard it on tv, saw it on social. Racism harms everyone, including white ppl. You donβt get to dictate what racism is if youβre white, arguing that comes off as even more racist.
Yeah it didnβt land, sorry friend. I donβt see how sarcasm furthers the argument here π€·ββοΈ
It doesnβt have to be a tragedy, no one is calling it that. But being a single parent IS harder than two parents, that is a fact. Thatβs why the point is raised. He worked extra hard.
Bingo! Itβs a real thing. The Margaret Thatcher effect. Or, we could Americanize it and call it the Sarah Palin effect. ππ
I grew up in this neighborhood. This is St. Paul, just blocks from the state capitol building. The central hub of state government is St. Paul, not Minneapolis. Important context.
If my followers have been inspired by the fierce resistance the Twin Cities has put up to ICE, you should make it a point to take a trip here (April through October π¬), enjoy the wonderful things MN has to offer and support our small businesses. It continues to be a really tough time for them.
Should they reply
to you telling them
that Olympians
are still taking precautions
by pointing out that you
are not an Olympian,
reply that like an Olympian
you too are competing
in a historic event,
and when they ask what it is,
tell them: itβs called the
surviving the pandemic.
Same, Iβve never had an issue refusing the photo & Iβm even in a mask. They have to scan the ID, thatβs always been a thing. Thereβs no way a tiny scanned drivers license photo provides the same amount of biometric data as a fresh photo.
Us white folks love to hate, including ourselves, so I can relate. I didnβt grow up in Appalachia but I have had the same convo with family members who still refuse to change their language. Thanks for being willing to engage! Anytime someone does, it gives me hope for the future!
Itβs not new, itβs just not widely known outside of Black communities. Those cheap seats existed in the first place bc of Jim Crow. Whites found Black people too rowdy at the theater, where peanuts were a cheap snack originally brought to the US by enslaved ppl, thus it became a derogatory term.
Agree with your point entirely! But we shouldnβt be using the term peanut gallery because of its racist history. Complicates the message unnecessarily.
At this point, I think itβs safe to say that every single person in the Twin Cities, MN knows someone who has encountered ICE, or directly experienced a situation themselves. They really are just everywhere.
Needless to say Iβve spent hours on the phone with both banks and Venmo trying to sort it. Kicking myself for not switching to a credit union for better, faster customer service. (Not to mention BDS, that shouldβve been reason enough to divest.)
Dealing with fraud on two different accounts. They appear to be unrelated, but should I be concerned? Seems weird to have two happening at once. One is check fraud and the other is $$$$ in fake Venmo charges.
