SPAIN'S BUDGET MINISTER ON TRUMP'S TRADE THREATS: WE WILL NOT BE ANYBODY'S VASSALS
Spanish PM SΓ‘nchez responds to Trump:
"Spain is against this disaster... Govts are here to improve people's lives... It is absolutely unacceptable that those leaders who are unable to fulfill that mission use the smoke of war to hide their failure, and in the process, fill the pockets of a few."

Well, we did it because of the protesters
Nukes
I mean theyβre building an ICBM
We did it defensively because Iran was going to attack us
I mean Israel was gonna do it anyway so we did it too
They were gonna attack us because Israel was gonna attack them so we attacked them
One minute, Trump & his bootlickers are calling it a war. The next minute, theyβre denying itβs a war. Yea, they really know what theyβre doing. Sure they do.
Personal news update: I'm delighted to announce that as of today, I am an actual Bluesky employee! I'll be working to welcome indie media and local govt to Bskyβand supporting those already here.
I'll always want to hear your thoughts on how we can make Bsky the sort of social media we all want!
The latest βexplanationβ for the war, this time from Rubio:
- we knew Israel was going to attack Iran
- we figured Iran would retaliate against us, coz weβre Israelβs bitch
- so we attacked Iran first
Rubio's justification for attacking Iran:
Iran would have retaliated against the US if Israel attacked Iran. Therefore the US acted preemptively.
So, why didn't the Trump admin just restrain the principal recipient of US military assistance from launching such an illegal attack in the first place?
Secretary Rubio's remarks indicate that Israel put U.S. forces in harm's way by insisting on attacking Iran. And the administration was complicitβjoining their war instead of talking them down.
This is unacceptable of the President, and unacceptable of a country that calls itself our ally.
Breaking MS NOW:
An ICE whistleblower is expected to testify at a congressional forum today that the agency is "lying to Congress and the American people" about its training of new recruits.
Ryan Schwank was an ICE academy instructor for new recruits before he resigned earlier this month.
The President made products more expensive for the American people. People are going to tell their senators, we don't like this. So it's time for my Senate colleagues to weigh in on this debate.
Also now that they have drafts here we are so back
The first step to dealing with Trumpism is to ignore everything they say and only watch what they do.
Newsom: Heβs a weak president β and that weakness is now on display globally. The only card he had left was these tariffs.
His entire economic policy has been mass deportations β and thatβs beginning to unravel. His broader economic policies have obviously been aided and embedded in these tariffs

His blood pressure has got to be through the roof right now, so if anyone has a chance to ask him an aggressive question about the Epstein files, that really could make It happen today.
Come on, reporters. We'll build statues in your honor.
CNN: Apparently the breakfast had been going well. Then Trump became enraged. He started ranting about the decision, not only calling it a disgrace, but started attacking the courts at one point saying: these fβing courts
Neal Katyal: "In America, the chief justice said only Congress can impose taxes on the American people, and that's what tariffs are. Tariffs are taxes."
Even Kavanaughβs dissent leans on an oh-well/too-late/sunk-costs defense:
β.. The Court says nothing today about whether, and if so how, the Government should go about returning the billions of dollars. ... That process is likely to be a 'mess.'β

Amazing, though, that what should have been 9-0 is always 6-3, and you always know who two of them are.
Alito and Thomas aren't even bothering to render judgments anymore. They just decide what's good for Trump and defend it.
tweet from @cliftonhowze on twitter Last night at the #DataCenters meeting in Claremore, Darren Blanchard, who has attended most of these meetings around NE Oklahoma & has some pretty impressive FOIA/ORA skills, was arrested after going over his 3 min. allotted speaking time. First arrest I've seen at one of these.
in america, if you go over your 3 minute allotment to speak, men with guns come to take you away.
NEW: Major, BFD action by blue states standing up to ICE.
Maryland, on Tuesday, banned local law enforcement from being part of ICE's notorious 287(g) program.Β
That automatically forces *9* sheriffs out of their ICE contract!
And New Mexico did the same last week:
