And one time, after balancing, we rolled the dice and it stayed balanced. And that kicked off a fun exploration of how likely that was to happen.

When I've done that with some students, it sometimes prompts the question if that is always possible or not and we've had some fun exploring that ideas.

Nice - another variation I do is that you can't use the numbers you see on the dice when balancing the scale.
