Hey all! Since I'm off tomorrow figured I'd do a bit of a self-indulgent stream. Gonna start with some Emerald Rogue because it's been on the brain lately, then Master Duel last tonight for some event/viewer duels. Hope to cya there!
As a Buffalo Bills fan, it’s a real bummer to see them lose. They had a great season & I am happy for them having their best record in a while.

IMO, Cartesia is THE card that turned Branded from a good fusion combo line for beginners into an insanely layered gameplan that juggles so many points of interaction. Not to mention the EP is their MP3
Branded is such a fun deck, y'all. I feel bad I'm too stupid to play it at high level anymore 😓
Lunalight has so many weird corner cases where small misplays can totally ruin a line. You have hard & soft onces, continuous effects to manage (ie: Hound's lock & Masquerade's floating), Marten must be sent by effect, Chick sends as a cost & don't get me started on managing names.
Still fun tho!
Ridiel!! She was my favorite & I ended up giving her the ring in my playthrough. It’s great to see some Unicorn Overlord love ^^

If I had a nickel for every holiday cross-Switch release in 2025 with a cool gameplay mode that clashes with its mission/statement & felt like it suffered from brand mismanagement & corporate muddling…
Well, you know the rest.
You know, for all the “world-changing events” we may be living through, I really enjoyed living through the Zeitgeists of Pokémon in the 90s, the Wii, & MGSV Phantom Pain’s reveal campaign. Those were good times that can’t be replicated & I’m thankful for them.

I think a lot of the “grosser” designs look better in Blue (like Muk & Golbat), but Yellow did a lot to clean up/add consistency with some designs. & the dynamic poses on things like Blastoise, Persian, Aerodactyl, Nidoking & even Onix I really like
It makes me happy to see people enjoy yugioh cards for JUST the art. They don’t have a set art style so each generation has its own bit of flair ^^
But yes, Maliss (What if Alice in Wonderland but animu computer viruses) is/was a very oppressive deck for a while, especially in Master Duel’s Bo1
Honorary mentions definitely go to Hollow Knight & Kirby Air Riders as well, & maybe Soul Calibur 2.
I didn’t play a ton of new games but the above I definitely sunk the most hours into.
Unicorn Overlord was PHENOMENAL though & I wanna talk more about it/experience it again ^^
