Are we allowed to openly mock and laugh in the face of anyone working in games who sincerely says "single player is dead!" going forward?
Can't be going through this cycle again in 10 years. Please let the lesson stick this time.
RE9 hitting 5 million sales in 5 days is fucking amazing. Especially since I was told several years ago by an exec that single-player games were dead 🤔
The games industry is obsessed with data and market trends. It's not even about this genre vs that, or single player vs live service. The suits in charge need to reconnect with the thing that players actually want:
A dude who's insanely fucking hot.
Second playthrough using third person camera with Grace.
Definitely less scary, but it's really well implemented here in a way it wasn't in Village. Also, only now realising Grace has her own knee cap and kick move.
It's an insane take. GameCube Resident Evil is a 10/10, if that ever that meant anything. That and RE4 are the masterpieces of the series.
So happy for so many games I admire to be part of Pieced Together!
