Todayβs #hamr junk box construction is a reversible beverage box. Need to add a small LC circuit so it is switchable with dc over the coax

Fed up of blowing the inductors on Aliexpress bias T. This junk box find will need some current to pop!
I wasnβt on that much. I concentrated on 10 yesterday with 15 later on. Then 15 this morning and 20 this evening. 10 was much worse today.
M0bpq cqww cw score summary
I found Saturday much better than Sunday. Drifted in and out with family stuff to do. No 80/160 as the antenna is down (again)
And EL2BG. DXCC #144 on 50MHz for me.
TY5AD is currently working G on 6m.
Itβs getting quieter here now although PA and DL are reporting some PYs
Hope you get some AU tonight - it is rare at this latitude!
Big 50MHz sporadic E opening in progress, first to Eastern Europe, now to Spain #hamr
Oops - I used that PC when operating from Corsica last summer. Wishing I was still there subliminally......
Couldnt resist calling @gu0sup.bsky.social on 12m FT8 just now - nice to see you - sorry Im not DX :)
4 hours on the air according to n1mm
No hail - just heavy rain this weekend @scarefest.
Nice to hear you at GB2GP!
Iβve done this for a long time with @gb2gp. Donβt underestimate Morse code. Those kids wonβt be really learning cw but itβs surprisingly engaging as an activity
The LDMOS, I agree, the board has come up rather well though!
Im glad you didnt say *which* contest
Fire in the hole! - Ive been given this to repair. I won't embarrass the manufacturer or owner......
I speculate there is so much RTTY as the reporting period includes the CQWW RTTY contest - any other month would be much lower
I'm speaking tomorrow at the RSGB convention on behalf of ARDC. Swing by to say hello if you are free! rsgb.services//public/even...
If it does fail at 2350hrs I wonβt be awake to see it π #parttimecontester
Youβve got the newer one with a blue motor cover. I think the main water leak is through the bearing hence the 3d printed hat. I can share the file if you have a printer. I may be able to take one to convention if you are stuck
I agree - but I guess it doesnt rain as much in Italy :)
The hat is being added this time to try and make the replacement pot last longer than 15 months. Let's see if there is a similar post complaining about it next year :)
Thats hard with moving parts! the 3D printed hat is designed to help....
This is an early one, and I think the case is better in the later versions, which means less leakage, but even so, the most recent PST61PRO has an encoder on the motor rather than concentric to the antenna, meaning no pot at all!
But at Β£1500 for a replacement, I am having to live with it!
With a huge amount of help from M0MDS, the rotator now has a 3D printed rain hat. And yet another new pot in the base
what a mess!
Is agree with the hex if itβs not too ugly! Mainly on the basis that itβs a much more modern design. I guess the Moseley is lower profile though.
