I also enjoy Kwabena, he's funny and is a classic Industry character in that he might have sex with anyone he shares a scene with.

Really good episode in Ghana, mad that a character based on Molly-Mae is so well-written and interesting. Big fan of Sweetpea.
Seeing them live for the first time later this month, actual bucket list stuff because I've been a big fan since the first album. I was a child and loved the idea of a cartoon band, I had the poster of that album cover on my wall for my entire adolescence and beyond.
RIP Flimsy Steve
A lot of dead blokes on this Gorillaz album.
I think the main thing here is that it's not quite a horror, not as scary as Cure or Pulse, instead there's just a strange uneasiness, a bit like tomorrow's film Cloud, but I think that later movie is an improvement. Will report back upon my re-watch tomorrow!
This film definitely wears a Tarkovsky influence on it's sleeve, but that's no bad thing, there are some beautiful nature shots here.
The ending is classic Kurosawa, in that it is somewhat definitive but it also asks way more questions, and once again he's exploring possible apocalyptic scenarios.
Things are complicated by the fact that Charisma is destroyed with about half an hour of the film left, and rather than end things, the mania just moves to another tree!
It's never quite clear what's real and what's fantastical, and what the explanation for the tree is. Is it actually poisoning the forest? Or is it benign? Is it all in somebody's head? Is is just human greed and envy?
The film stars Cure's Koji Yakusho, once again playing a burnt out cop, who whilst suspended wanders into the woods and gets involved in a very strange situation, involving a weird tree (the titular Charisma), scientists, a shut-down mental hospital and more.
It's a Kiyoshi Kurosawa double-bill this weekend, starting with one I've not seen before, 'Charisma' which I thought was excellent. Perhaps not as effective as his best films but still really interesting and strange and powerful
Is that the end for Rishi? Fucking hell.
Aussie Open and Okada together... what a team.
Wait, DIY Vs The Revival was 10 years ago. Jesus Christ.
I don't want to endorse collusion and match-fixing, but Leeds, Forest and West Ham need to work together to ensure Spurs get relegated because it would be the funniest thing to happen in football in years.
David Finlay going to AEW over WWE is a very pleasant surprise. I think a lot of wrestlers are realising that 'the dream' of a 'Wrestlemania moment' isn't really worth it anymore.
Although the line βMussolini came to see meβ is hilarious
Actually listened to both the podcast and the EP now⦠I actually quite like the music FFS.
If nobody has designed a Daniel Farke βUnbelievable Cuteβ t-shirt in the next 48 hours the game has well and truly gone.
The cut to Yasmin eating the oyster... the Hitler paintings, jesus christ.
I'm sure Nick Timothy and others will be up in arms about this as a clear example of anti-Turkish racism www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...
Iβm reading Oliver Twist and every time a character swaps a v for a w it cracks me up. Wicious, wery, wagabond.
modern day slang is starting to sound like stuff the mutants would say in The Dark Knight Returns. βLeader donβt jestermaxx on Batman. Leader say he mogged Batmanβ
Industry goes to the Pet Shop Boys well a lot... but it always rules.
And of course... the strap-on.
Maybe this is just because it is recent but it feels even more ripped from the headlinesy, and maybe Eric playing golf with Trump is a bit too much?
Rolling straight into Industry S4... a lot of new characters! Quite disorientating. It's odd seeing Sally Draper as an adult and Charlie Heaton using his actual accent but both seem good. Max Minghella is terrifying.
Absolutely mad finale, Rishi's wife! I will roll straight into S4 tomorrow, fascinated to see what the series is like with no Pierpoint and no Rob, the unexpected heart of the series.
Marisa Abela has never looked better than she did in that checked shirt in the Series 3 finale. No wonder she had sex with one guy and got another to propose to her in it.
