Global chaos demands bold leadership, and Albanese isn’t it – plus Iran war updates Albanese’s reflexive support for the war on Iran reveals a PM out of his depth

Anthony Albanese’s support for the war on Iran exposes how dangerously entrenched Australia is in the unhinged US/Israeli alliance - and how utterly out of depth Albanese is to lead Australia at a time of great global upheaval.

When the US became the global hegemon post WW2 they inflicted barbarities on other people all over the world. Pretending the US is still a force for good because they took part in the One Good War 80 years ago is brainwashed tripe. There is no more malevolent force in the world today than the US

Do you think you can oppose imperialism by unleashing the military might of the most powerful country on earth? How anyone can survive into adulthood and still think the US the benevolent world police is absolutely beyond me. It's literally facilitating a genocide as we speak, with bilateral support

The United States does not defend against imperialism. This is baby brained stuff

But they are against aggressive action by a larger imperialist power (ie the US). Do you not think the US is imperialist? Or is it the good liberal kind of imperialism?

I look at images of the universe, inspired by the dazzling light that paints our incomprehensibly vast sky & listen to a story of someone who used to work with their kitten right beside them and my job is to put those two things together. I'm just incredibly humbled I get to capture life this way.

Reducing human value to what we can be trained to do is straight up technofascism. Every fascism has its suhumans. To technofascists, humans are the subhumans.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Watched by Branson Reese 28 Apr 2022

Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

PM defends decision to invite Herzog to Australia
Nick Newling
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has backed his decision to invite Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Australia, saying it was appropriate to allow the Jewish community to mourn with the leader.
"He was [invited] because he's the head of state. He's the equivalent of the governor-general, and when the Jewish community asked for their head of state to visit. I think it is appropriate that people be allowed to mourn and to do so respectfully," Albanese told Triple M radio in Hobart.

This is maddening nonsense from Albanese.

Herzog is the President of *Israel*. He’s not the “head of state” for Jews.

This transformation of Jews into some convenient monolith is perverse.

Asked Claude Cowork organize my wife's desktop, it stated doing it, asked for a permission to delete temp office files, I granted it, and then it goes "ooops"
Turns out it tried renaming and accidentally deleted a folder with all of the photos my wife made on her camera for the last 15 years. All photos of kids, their illustrations, friends' weddings, travel, everything.
It's not in trash, it was done via terminal It's not in iCloud, it already synced the new file structure.
She didn't have Time Machine.
Disc recovery tools can't see anything.
I called Apple and they pointed me to a feature in iCloud allowing to retrieve files that were saved before but are no longer on iCloud Drive (they keep them for 30 days).
I'm now watching it load tens of thousands of files. I nearly had a heart attack.
