Houston wins, Liberty loses, Grand Canyon loses. It's a good day.

Coogs > Cougs
I've seen him listed as Joseph and Jojo so of course Fran has to call him Joe
After 5 straight "is this a tie-up or a foul" 50/50 calls go BYU's way, we get an obvious one and he's crying
AJ DYBANTSA WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO THE REFS, FOCUS ON THE GAME AJ
Weird how Dybantsa doesn't get lectured and he's been crying all fucking night
The string of obscenities that left my mouth as Fran lectured Kingston about talking to the officials for the umpteenth time, as if Dybantsa hasn't been crying every time someone breathes on him
Hey Fran and Doug Sirmons, if one of you starts officiating, I'm sure Kingston will stop
This court is a disaster. Couldn't tell you the last time I saw this many guys slip. Not sure I'll be upset if we lose and don't have to play on this thing again.
I appreciate Boog expressing skepticism on a couple of those calls. Makes me feel less crazy than listening to Fran deify the refs
Flemings didn't get calls right after Dybantsa got the same calls. BYU got the jump ball that was more of a foul than the foul they just called on Cenac on the jump ball. Keita dragging Jojo to the ground by the elbow on the rebound went uncalled. Felt like I was taking crazy pills.
You'll never convince me that Bradley-Pittsburgh matchup back in the day wasn't because they thought it would be funny to see BRAD-PITT on the scoreboard
It does, right?? I was just thinking I'm going to be so mad when my alarm goes off tomorrow morning
Bracket matrix also has Miami of Ohio as a 10 and Miami of Florida as a 7, which means the committee has the chance to do the funniest thing
Bracket matrix has ut-austin and smu as 2 of the last 3 at-larges at the moment. Have never rooted harder for bid-stealers in my life.
I've been firmly in the "there's no one right answer in terms of what to do with Miami if they go undefeated and then lose in the MAC tourney" camp for months now, but given that the rest of the bubble has spent the past week eating shit, I think you gotta put them in.
This is a very good post. Funny if you just like dunking on Liberty, funnier if you get the specific reference.
well, I guess liberty is going to have to sit in the corner and watch the rest of the CUSA tournament
LOCKS, JUST SO WEβRE CLEAR UCF (21-10) a lock after come-from-behind win over Cincinnati. Plays Arizona on Thursday 34th in resume average; 53rd in predictives average is shaky, but: 11-10 in Q1/2 with no bad losses 8-5 road/neutral record. In for sure. Iowa (21-11) went lock by avoiding a loss to Maryland. Plays Ohio State on Thursday 42nd in resume average; 27th in predictives carries the day 9-11 in Quad 1 and 2 and one Quad 3 L 7-8 in road/neutral Ohio State (20-11) didnβt even play and became a lock because of all the bubble losses. Iowa awaits 37th in resume average; 24th in predictives is massive 9-11 in Quad 1 and 2, no bad losses 6-8 in road/neutral NC State (20-12) should have enough, but it wasnβt pretty. Gets Virginia on Thursday 40th in resume average; 37th in predictives 11-11 in Quad 1 and 2 but has a Quad 4 loss 9-6 in road/neutral (9-7 at worst) will get βem home
BUBBLE FROM BEST TO WORST 1. Missouri (20-11) gonna get in but losing to Kentucky today would leave tiniest room for doubt 43rd in resume average; 46th in predictives 9-11 in Quad 1 and 2 (five Q1 Ws), no Q3 losses Isnβt better than 39 in any metric and non-con SOS was abysmal β why I stop short of lock-lock 5-8 in road/neutral 2. VCU (24-7) keeps rising as others keep losing. Doesnβt play until Friday in A-10 quarters 39th in resume average; 48th in predictives 5-7 in Quad 1 and 2 19 total Q3 and 4 results 10-5 in road/neutral better than many teams easily in the field 3. SMU (20-13) after loss to Lβville Thursday. Team has cascaded. No BJ Edwards a factor. 45th in resume average; 43rd in predictives β basically dancing on the fence 9-13 in Quad 1/2 and no bad losses and hovering between 37 and 48 in all metrics 4-9 in road/neutral 4. Texas (18-14) after the loss Thursday to terrible Mississippi. This team has 14 losses, people. 50th in resume average (DANGER); 42nd in predictives 7-13 in Q1/2 β 6 Quad 1 wins β has a Q3 loss. But itβs FOUR GAMES UNDER .500 in the top three quadrants. Sound the sirens. 5-8 in road/neutral
Bubble ranked, cont. 5. New Mexico (22-9) definitely not in right now. Next up is San Jose State today and that win barely juices the resume 47th in resume average; 52nd in predictives 8-7 in Q1/2 ββ 6-1 in Q2 β but 4-2 in Q3 8-6 road/neutral Not better than 44 in any metric. Canβt lose today 6. Auburn (17-15) beat Miss. State (woohoo) and gets Tennessee today 44th in resume average; 35th in predictives 7-14 in Quad 1 and 2 with a Quad 3 loss 5-11 in road/neutral Guaranteed to have 16 losses as an at-large candidate. No teamβs ever made the NCAAT with 16 losses. Extreme test case. 7. San Diego State (20-10) needs to beat Colorado State on Thursday and then win again on Friday to have a shot 49th in resume average; 49th in predictives 7-9 in Q1/2 and one Q3 loss 6-8 in road/neutral 8. Oklahoma (18-14) can at least make it a discussion if it beats Texas A&M today, but one more loss is 15 and what are we doing here 56th in resume average; 44th in predictives 9-14 in Quad 1 and 2 and 11-14 in top 3 Quads (woof) 7-9 in road/neutral (Not yet, Florida State)
ITβS OVER Virginia Tech (19-13): Outside top 50 in resume + predictives and five under .500 in Q 1/2 Stanford (20-12): 52nd in resume average, 62nd in predictives, four Q3 losses. No path. California (21-11): Team is 73RD IN PREDICTIVES. And 54 or worse in all metrics. Gone. Indiana (18-14): Quite literally shrink the field back to 64 and launch a federal investigation if Indiana gets in. Itβs 54th in resume average and 7-14 vs. Quad 1 and 2. Also way over, but listing for finality: Cincinnati, West Virginia
If you want a handy guide for where the Bubble Situationβ’οΈ is for Maybe The Worst Bubble EverΒ©οΈ coming out of Wednesday and heading into Thursday, I've got you.
This is what to know heading into today's feast of games.
im just really fucking sick of spending my entire adult life lurching from one worldwide economic disaster to another all because people pretend republicans arent dumb as dog shit morons completely detached from reality
The Venn diagram of people who this appeals to and people who should be allowed to operate motor vehicles has no overlapping region
Gotta figure that clinches an 8-bid Big 12
I was so certain he stole it from Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. Learned something new today.

This is hilarious.
Also, completely enraging.
Happy 3/11 to all who celebrate
What a terrible thing that happened. Hopefully his hometown newspaper won't act like a bunch of psychos and idiotically compare his tone when addressing this attack to his tone when campaigning for mayor. Can you imagine how profoundly disingenuous that would be?
get scheduled, and that he can't confirm/deny the claim that the RedHawks turned down Cincinnati for a game. I've still also seen no explanation for how it is there are copious mid-majors who finished in Miami's vicinity in the metrics last year w/multiple P4 schools on their schedule this year.
Very much enjoying Matt's work, and it leading to more conversations happening about scheduling. But for everybody taking Matt's previous article about the teams that turned Miami down as proof that they couldn't have possibly scheduled anybody, he freely admits that emails are only one way games
