Capacity varies day to day as well, those days where nothing extra is possible vs those days you move the world. At the moment my load is very much mental & when I get home from work I cannot do much that requires brain power. Plenty smart enough just way to tired.
We flew in & out of Kaohsiung (Taiwan Boat Show) train & back to Taipei for a few days. The train was great.
It's an interesting place, was there in 2016 (?), then took the high speed train to Taipei. The service is so fast & frequent they had eliminated flights between the 2 cities.

After paying (until recently) very high child care costs people don't always see the expense in private schools - they are used to paying. Plus the dubious idea that private is always better. Not good use of funds.

This was an act of war - the USA attacking a sovereign vessel in international waters, without provocation is a massive escalation. We all know it is illegal - the current administration cares little for that. It is how every other country acts in response that matters.
The USA have not declared war on Iran, firing at a sovereign vessel in international waters would surely be considered piracy. if it was Iran firing on a USA Navy ship we can be sure that the world response would be very, very different.
I don't think it would have happened under Dunstan, I doubt it would have happened if Mali hadn't been so loud (& wrong) about Dr Abdul Fattah. Those seeking to silence certain voices are emboldened by his actions.
