I can see that. Trimming could achieve smoother transition your looking for. And the excess clay at the bottom could serve as a kind of foot/pedestal for the form..but then again I'm not and expert

Also once the glaze is on it'll probably change the "balance" and "look" further, no?

I look at images of the universe, inspired by the dazzling light that paints our incomprehensibly vast sky & listen to a story of someone who used to work with their kitten right beside them and my job is to put those two things together. I'm just incredibly humbled I get to capture life this way.

Bill DMs 1st & 2nd edition games while I run the new 2024 rules. But I've been playing since 2nd edition so I update a lot of monsters from that lore because they have more teeth. 😬

Thank you! So far I've only worked with stoneware that's available in the studio. But of the two kinds that are available I prefer the the white stoneware that has less grogg and feels smoother

An evening with the great David Bowie in the Labyrinth

A photo of a snowy winter scene featuring a small natural arch of stone. The stones are coated with snow along their tops, and on their sides to the left and right. This is weathered exposure of volcanic rock at elevations around 4,000 feet (1219m). There's are very few natural arches in the Pacific Northwest. This arch appears very blocky, with the joined top of the arch looking like two stones, and the edges rising to the top looking more monolithic. The stone has a mottled appearance from weathering and various lichens on it's surface, giving grenish grey, charcoal, and even orange patches of color. The foreground has a lot of snow with small leafless branches poking out of the snow that have a reddish orange color. From the left side a few green branches of a conifer jutt into the scene. There's are also two small slim conifer trees visible through the arch on it's right side, and over the top in the background. Also through the arch and near it's base in the distant background a snowy slope with tall conifers can be seen. The top of the slope disappears into clouds about halfway up the arch opening. The sky is a featureless blank of even cloudiness. The lighting is very even due to the cloud cover, and reflected light from all the snow on the ground.

#Blueskyartshow theme this week for Saturday February 21st is #two. #Art #Painting Art is in the eye of the beholder. You tell me. Two figures walking, are they coming towards or going away? Where are they walking too?

A small table in a pub is set with silverware on napkins, salt & pepper shakers, and two pint glasses filled with rich, dark-brown stout. The glasses have "Guiness", along with their trademark harp, printed on the side.

Here are #Two pints of Guinness, de rigeur since we were about to have lunch at The Stag's Head Pub, in Dublin, of fish & chips and shepherd's pie. Yes, they were delicious!
