Potentially a non trivial effect due to the increase in national minimum wage during the same period of time.
Because the British media repeatedly fails to do its job.
Bannon's 'Flood the zone with shit' Exhaust critical opposition through sheer volume of bad stuff. Textbook.
Security led sovereignty procurement is a real challenge if you have to get into component supply chains etc. I mean it is there for a reason in some domains, but risks becoming a real drag on efficiency. Security, as ever, is a trade off.
Who could have suspected someone with Thiel's face would turn out to be a wrong 'un.

Also, given current ICE activity looking to be a a dry run for massive voter suppression/Disruption in November, that could well remain the case post mid terms.
Yes that's a fair way of framing it. I have always favoured forms of PR though reluctantly accepted that FPTP keeps the fash out. That has now been utterly disproven in US and so politics needs to lean into the new reality and accept plurality.
Politics is transactionality writ large (macrotransactionality?) Population developing emotional relationships with a single party is part of the problem and is forcing a chaotic, rather than planned drift towards more PR based solutions.
3-panel comic. (1) [Three small arthropods on ocean floor.] ARTHROPOD 1: Now that weβre multicellular, what are your plans? Iβm gonna evolve little legs and swim around with them! ARTHROPOD 2: Iβm gonna evolve sharp pincers and use them to crunch stuff! ARTHROPOD 3: Iβm gonna evolve glands to make string from my butt and use it to construct elaborate geometric nets hundreds of times my size to catch other animals. (2) [Silence] (3) ARTHROPOD 1: *Dude.* ARTHROPOD 2: Can you *please* just be normal about this? ARTHROPOD 3: *What??!*

Having an apocalypse proof boat is so deeply unchristian in so many different dimensions it is laughable.
Love the bleak Northumberland coastline. I have a deal with myself that whenever I walk by the sea there I swim in it. That deal might be tested a little today.
Given you are in your mid thirties I am pleasantly surprised you even know what the Beano is.

The right answer for the wrong reasons
𧡠@jburnmurdoch.ft.com is spot on about the conditions in his FT piece. Liberal democracy held it together thanks to growth, good demographics, and the promise of a better future. Those days are gone, and thatβs the "why" behind the erosion. However...
In fairness, prior to the Ukraine invasion Russia could have transported oil without the need for a shadow fleet.
Brought this classic to mind (although this is C64)
Has anyone checked in on MySpace?
Very well put. The European project is antithetical to the 'Donroe' doctrine. Hence why he's leaning hard into Greenland.
Love the rabbit reference. The song and the film are irrevocably intertwined.
Why thanks
We were undoubtedly bad. Trump US is very much "Hold my beer" -ing right now
