🔹 6:30 AM: Saw our trackless sidewalk plow clearing Broad St & Mechanic St sidewalks. 💙
🔹 7:00 AM: Stopped at dispatch for coffee & checked out the new tracking system—this lets us match service calls with available equipment & monitor plow locations/issues.
🔹 Snow Ops Updates:
✅ Route Adjustments – Dedicated teams for dead ends & main lines to optimize efficiency.
✅ More Salt – We secured extra deliveries despite regional shortages.
✅ Real-Time Tracking – New system lets us see plow locations, stops & ops in real-time for better response & efficiency.
🌨 4 AM: Picked up in Manual Peterbilt Truck 50 by Charley Parillo, DPW Working Foreman. Charley, with his unrestricted CDL, took on Northeast Fitchburg’s tough hills—Arn-How, Richardson, High Rock, Kinsman, Pearl Hill & more.

Thanks to another Saturday night into Sunday morning snowstorm, I joined our Fitchburg DPW team for a ride-along at the tail end of a 12+ hour storm to see firsthand the hard work that keeps our streets clear.
7.5" overnight/morning snowfall ttl of 7.5" and now am overall snowpack ttl of 13.5" here in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Picturesque winter day! ❄️

I was honored to be elected to the Mayors Board alongside Mayor Nicholson of Gardner who’s stepping in as President... & thanks to Mayor Mazzarella for nominating our slate! North Central Mass mayors are showing up at the State level... our region is well represented to advocate for our needs. 💪
Makes me feel so good to be in a room full of people who want to talk about landfill costs, net school spending deficit effects on city-side budgets, unsustainable rising health insurance costs, and investments in housing. (Riveting stuff my friends snore at ... but my fellow mayors get me! 😂)
Attended the annual conference for elected officials across the state, Connect 351, and let me tell you—this event is like the Super Bowl for municipal nerds like me! 🏙️👩💼👨💼 Connected with my fellow mayors, elected officials, and municipal leaders from across the state.
