i second that as a resident of DC. and 689,454 that on behalf of the other DC residents.

also where's the line between infighting and pushing reps to do what "we" want them to do, say what "we" want them to say.

"we didn't give him the authority" is a sticking point. a lot of us tried to give Dems power in the election/s. I'm also a DC resident so have no representation in Congress at all. not spitting on him because he doesn't have authority, but because he is not plainly attacking the opposition?

authority and leadership--not the same. he has a lot of power in his role, even gavelless. we SHOULD be judging his performance as minority leader, where he shows us what he might be capable of as speaker. granted, it's a tougher spot to be in than Raskin's, and why some reps would never want it.
