Playing catch up. Stuck, but undeterred...

๐ We ended up watching the New England pinball championship on another ESPN channel. It was an X-Men machine, and the only thing I could really parse was Kitty Pryde occasionally phasing through a wall.
My wife and I were channel surfing after binging the Olympics all day and stumbled upon that roofball coverage. No idea what I even watched for that 90 seconds we were tuned in.
Yesterday, I heard about the attack on Ilhan Omar. This morning, I saw the video where her reaction is to defiantly go after him, arm cocked and loaded for a punch. Never back down from these small, weak losers. ๐ค

Ever try a game and it just doesn't grab you? Then you give it some distance, come back to it... and it just doesn't let you go?

The perfect product for someone nursing a broken toe and allergic to codeine (the active ingredient in prescription Tylenol). 1000 mg of Acetaminophen! ๐ฅด

"Um... ACTUALLY." I would just like to point out that this is not, in fact, the Dark Forces version of Kyle Katarn... but the version introduced in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II." ๐ค
(Still looks awesome and I'm all over it!)

Bliss.
Replaying Far Cry 5, and I don't recall it being one of the stronger entries. But man, I am loving it. Two things immediately come to mind:
1. It looks great and absolutely screams on the Series X.
2. The subject matter seems, er, more relevant now. ๐ฌ
Nah, no Oblivion remastered. I only choose games from other studios and games I didn't work on. But my love for that remaster is infinite. โค๏ธ
Been thinking a lot about my personal game(s) of the year. Can't pick just one! Here are the games that have given me the most joy, and stolen the most hours.

I mean, the fiction is what it is... and so is the Wasteland. People scavenge. They reuse old stuff. Definitely one of the recurring themes. One caveat - while in no way canon, sometimes designers and artists will have their own head canon to guide them as they work. Total conjecture here though.
I love @arcraiders.bsky.social, including the tension and danger of PVP. As a dev, I know how challenging it can be to balance a game like this. I just wish, you know, it took a dude with a lvl 1 Stitcher just a TAD longer to kill a lvl 75 Raider with a lvl IV Anvil and a heavy shield... ๐ตโ๐ซ
The devil on my shoulder.
My God I could not agree with this sentiment more. I'll never forget Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man 2 and Peter discovering his parents were secret agents and murdered because they knew too much. Or something. Apparently with great power comes great responsibility... and vengeance.
My pleasure! ๐ค
We stayed up way too late wandering the frozen landscape of Kona. We also have absolutely no regrets.
No, no real direct connection. It's more a statement on Vault-Tec's pervasive presence in the Wasteland even 200+ years after the bombs fell. In this case, Dr. Chambers somehow learned of the GOAT test and co-opted it for her own agenda - rooting out hidden (and Institute) synths.
I mean, isn't it obvious that's the main quest? It's sort of documented everywhere as being the main quest because, well, yeah... main quest. ๐
Just hit the quaint little Lamar, Kansas. 7:00 am local time. Really easy to imagine a young Clark Kent racing alongside.

Those are the routes. First leg was 20ish hours, dining was a bit more casual and the porter brought me my meal. Second leg is around 43 hours, and I think you dine with others in the dining car. Sleeper car small but comfy. Combined shower/toilet is super weird but really efficient!
