@angray.bsky.social weβve had a postal strike here, so no cards this year. Henry and I wondered whether we could either Zoom or WhatsApp video with you and Pom some time over the holidays? Boxing Day would work for us or any day after. Let me know.

I have that series as Henry read it some years ago. Maybe it should be my next read. I strongly recommend anything by John Gwynne! Heβs a Sussex boy, too.
Now, Iβve finished the big Norse book and itβs with my agent, Iβve allowed myself to read Norse flavoured fantasy and there is no better writer of that than John Gwynne. His Blood-Sworn trilogy is a tour de force.
I went to two high schools, all girls, and each produced a famous actor: Sybil Thorndike and Jean Simmons. When I taught one of my pupils was Damien Barber who went in to win young British folk musician of the year.
I love research for my novels. Research can come and bite you on the bum. My book starts in Brattahlid. Greenland was mountainous, right? So I had my protagonist climbing cliffs. Visiting Greenland, there are no bloody cliffs at Brattahlid! So, I am stuck trying to sort out an alternative.
