#AEW tells stories. Perfect example is how Ciampa lost that match but then his post-match refusal to shake Briscoe's hand demonstrated a clear cause and effect, a world of emotional consequences. He didn't just lose a match - he evolved just a bit. This is the #art of wrestling.

I love Ciampa's theme song. It actually has some atmosphere and inspires intrigue. Happy to see him getting a second (third?) life in #ProWrestling.

Tuning into #AEWCollision wondering why I don't do this every Saturday. I love wrestling.

I've decided that for an episode of my #podcast in March I'm going to provide a real time commentary to #SamiZayn's Jackass match at #WrestleMania. I think it's one of the best examples of #prowrestling #art this decade. Really excited to watch it and analyze it.

#AEWDynamite has been the most consistently excellent weekly episodic #prowrestling show I've ever seen. I stand by this take. It does not have the wild fluctuations in quality from one segment to the next that The Attitude Era had. It's been good from start to finish.

Is it not yet passรฉ to criticize wrestling matches today for being too flippy? Surely we've outgrown this debate. #ProWrestling is an #art, which means it comes in many forms and genres. To critique it as such means embracing the various ways it forms narrative.

Trying to get over on X is exhausting. The algorithm is cruel to new accounts. I remember back in the day on Twitter posting random shit and actually getting into fun conversations. Now it's like the wasteland in Fallout. Mutants and tumbleweed.

I much prefer you sickos.

Love that too. It feels weird to say this, but I like it when the crowd is genuinely funny, when they're engrossed in the action and there's a sense of play to their chants.

The Work of Wrestling WHAT BRINGS ME JOY I realized something as I was pondering WWE this morning. I don't actually enjoy criticizing the company. While it gives me intellectual satisfaction to analyze any art, even bad.....

NEW Facebook Post on why I don't enjoy criticizing WWE:

Contrary to the norm of our community I honestly don't enjoy criticizing WWE. Like the act of dismantling their less than good content doesn't bring me joy. WWE being good and telling interesting stories brings me joy. They're just not telling good stories right now.

Before each of his matches I honestly don't think much of Speedball Mike Bailey (his whole gimmick just doesn't resonate with me) but then he inevitably does something amazing in the match and I'm like, "Wow! I get it."

Jon Moxley has put together an impressive body of work over the years. Watching him work on #AEWDynamite every week feels like a privilege.

Orange & Darby vs The Dogs was just delightful. The way it began, with such chaos and fighting outside the ring pre-bell made what could've been a bathroom break feel distinct and meaningful. I love how #AEWDynamite makes every moment feel important.

Orange's pitiful little pyro is one of many small details that make him my favorite character in #ProWrestling today.

Solid match between Kevin Knight and MJF.

Nice way to start off #AEWDynamite.

The Reality Era Podcast Episode ยท The Work Of Wrestling ยท February 9, 2015 ยท 36m

This one is an oldie but a goodie. Check out my remastered and re-released episode from The #WorkOfWrestling archive. This is the origin of the phrase "Moment Of Pop". I also examine #TripleH being interviewed by Steve Austin and I define The Reality Era.

Looking for more #followers, preferably good humans who are kind, funny, and talented. I dig #ProWrestling and will post mostly about that (hey #WrestleSky!) and other things that make me happy to be on this planet.

If you like the sound of that give me a follow and I'll follow back.

There's something off about Punk v Roman in their current incarnations. I can't quite pinpoint what it is yet. But that promo exchange felt labored and the "I'm gonna bury you next to your father" line felt very scripted.

I don't know what their fight could be about.
