Just got a chance to see The Wild Robot, and wow, what a beautiful movie. A few beats were easily seen coming, but the message was loud and clear from the start. It is a movie that I think sits perfectly right next to Wall-E in trying to give us yet another warning of the future.

I wish there were a more equitable way to complete this process. I just don't want to be the person that keeps sending and submitting the same written letter over and over.

Few things are more exhausting in an art career than finding an agent. It isn't anyone's fault either. Agents are swamped. Applying for consideration is like applying for jobs in most industries these days; you spend a lot of time on cover letters, then wait a long time, all for a "no."

This is true. There isn’t even anyone at Marvel or DC who can blacklist you from the industry.

If a small publisher owes you money and aren’t paying, though, the last thing they want you to do is tell everyone. You have more power over them than they do over you.

Comic creators of all sorts: Writers, artists, colorists, letterers, editors, and everyone in between...let's be friends?

Spending my day writing my all-ages graphic novel, Rune's Valor. It's been a long time coming, but there's never been a better time. It finally feels like all the pieces of the puzzle are in place; like the story need to stew until just the right moment. And that's right now.

Granted, my wife and I have McDonald’s on boycott right now anyway, but when it was being consumed, I had to get something else to drink.

Ever since having covid for the first and only time back in late August 2023, I haven’t been able to taste or smell anything correctly, if at all. This has made changing poop diapers a piece of cake since I can’t smell them, but it has ruined McDonald’s Coke for me. It now just takes like a bandage.
