Underscoring the anger felt by disabled people across the creative industries at the proposed disability benefit cuts, I was proud to add my name to the new campaign launched today by disabled film & tv stars organised by Cherylee Houston demanding that the Government stop #TakingThePIP

It cannot be right that talented disabled people like Jess Thom is forced to withdraw from work due to changes in state benefits that exist to support disabled people into work.
The proposed changes to the benefits system risk all the progress disabled creatives have made in the last decade.

New study reveals that 41% of disabled respondents reported barriers preventing them from visiting heritage sites.
Unsurprising, if like me, you are disabled & interested in heritage. I hope Historic England will find interest in the work the UK & Irish Arts Councils have developed - @allin.online

This award is a real testament to the dedication and care of the small team at Arts Council England developing All In. To be recognised before the product launch is quite something and I'm delighted for the team.

In complete agreement with Darren Henley as he rejects hierarchies in art, "We must not allow our world to be characterised as a pointy triangle with excellence on high & access and community at the base. This framing is skewed & it risks killing the very thing its proponents love - great art."

Picture of the UK National Covid Memorial Wall, London
Disabled people were 11 times more likely to die from #Covid & made up 2/3 of the final UK death toll @150,000 individuals. This was not a pattern shared in other Western nations.
Disabled people are not vulnerable, but we were made so by the UK's disastrous approach to Covid
