Alternative interpretation: the volcano and or Pele are not in favor of me leaving the island tomorrow so I should probably stay forever.

Today I was within some 50 miles of an erupting volcano (Kiluea). Could I see anything at all? No. The roads also closed so no chance to get there. I still feel like being here should still count for some sort of bucket list item somehow. 🌋

Feeling sad this Hawai’i trip is winding down. One last full day today planned as a beach day and ending with a luau. I could extend this vacation indefinitely.

Started the day at a Kona coffee farm and spent the rest of it at beautiful Hapuna Beach. Really successful Hawaii day — except I definitely got sunburnt through multiple applications of SPF 50+.

It is actually 100% functional except the screen. Even the keyboard and trackpad still work, even though the laptop is literally bent—right between F9-F10.
