Liverpool Horror Book Con will be raising money in aid of The Reader: The UK’s largest Shared Reading charity.
Conducting reading groups in hospitals, care homes, schools, prisons and the community, they unite people through literature.

Our inclusivity is proactive and has helped so many readers and authors to find their individual balance.
Our mascot, Spunky the Spook has been quite key. People will come and say hi to Spunky and open up, which for some is easier than grabbing a team member.
Private lounge area with low noise and comfy seating to catch a breath. The event team will be in and out of the area to join anyone who needs support or some company. Rooms are fully accessible via a lift into the main room. All facilities are gender neutral. Seating will be provided in front of the stage to take a rest and catch the live activities. If an author you want to meet is in an area too crowded, the event team will help you get to them, or will bring the author to meet you. These events are for readers and are delivered by readers. Once you walk through the first door, we’ve got you and we will support you however you need 🖤

It is fabulous. It’s dark and hilarious and has so many clever twists you won’t second guess it. The dialogue had me snorting with laughter, even at the most inappropriate moments while Jenny’s spiralling grief remained unambiguously at the centre. And that ending!!!!
