It wasn't a good year for figs, but usually you have to be fast to get figs that haven't been sampled. Blue jays also like figs.

They are so lucky!

From September 6, three different Hummingbirds take a rest on the tiny maple tree twigs. They were constantly watchful for a spot at a feeder. 🪶

Having the best day ever!

He was hard to miss!

It's been a morning of Goldfinch brunches and a surprise guest when Ms Cardinal arrived. The Chipping Sparrow was annoyed with everyone. 🪶

That was an anomaly. I had to move one to the shepherd's hook away from the aggressive guys to give timid birds a chance.

They are the cheap, easy to wash ones. I tried a pretty bottle type the first year and spilled a lot of sticky water.

By September 6 I was aiming my camera all over the place and learned to focus on a plant and move to a Hummingbird feeder. A surge of migtating hummers had been here a week and I made sooo much sugar water. They were all brats, fueling up for their travels. 🪶
