Definitely. My impressions so far are mostly positive.

"What do people actually want to know about this before they buy it?"
You have to stop somewhere because I could argue that the time to properly review a WoW expansion is after it's been out for a year and we know how it felt to play through all the patch content. But this is a good middle ground.
There are certain games I don't think should be reviewed until some time after launch, in fairness. I'm on my fourth WoW expansion and I pushed pretty hard back in Shadowlands to not assign a score until the raid and Mythic+ season dropped because otherwise you're not really taking it seriously.
This is how I found out that's the same team and now I'm way more interested.
Slay the Spire really is one of those games where I'd have a hard time explaining why it didn't stick for me. I played it for about 15 hours, had a pretty good time, and then never felt the urge to open it again. I might end up liking it more on switch.
The in-game version doesn't have a lot in common. My original Silver was:
* An echidna, not a hedgehog
* Didn't have telekinesis
* Was Knuckles "apprentice" training to protect the emeralds (this all took place in the Sonic 3 + K era/continuity so no "modern" stuff)
Deleted because I was sent the Canadian link. It's $70 US which is not outrageous. But still.
Yes, I am the "original character do not steal" meme but it actually happened.
Even if it's just the name "Silver" that's almost too weird to be a coincidence and I can prove that mine came first.
I am fairly certain the character Silver the Hedgehog from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise was based on or inspired by a character I roleplayed on a Sonic fan forum in the early 2000s with someone who did actually go on to move to Japan and work for Sega.
"Adjusted for inflation, games are cheaper now than they ever-"
We're in a recession babe. All of that wealth went to like 150 people and gaming hardware is now the price of a used car.
On my mom's side, he was in the Army Air Corps (before it was the Air Force) in WW2 as an airplane mechanic then spent 30+ years in the US forest service and was a great guy.
On my dad's side, Presbyterian minister and not a great dude. He did at least leave the SBC because they were too racist.
That is the intention!
I don't get to publish weird and random ideas often as a freelancer, so thanks to @lotrlore.bsky.social for letting me write what started as "Yelp reviews of every shop in Silvermoon" and mutated into "An in-character episode of No Reservations about a fake elf city"

You allowed a Void Naaru to zap you almost to death so you could call upon your pain to be a better archer. I'm not judging. I'm here to say you're in good company.
Alleria Windrunner looking like a goth icon
This is not the fit of someone who doesn't own some very expensive handcuffs.
Alleria Windrunner: They will even shackle their own kind? Interesting. Some even seem willing.
Girl, I've met your husband. Don't try to play dumb.

fun fact: most people you know with 1000s of followers are only posting for like 7 people they are friends with, this and all other websites make a lot more sense when you realise this
I'm a simple guy. I just need Bloodborne to not run like a bear hit with a tranquilizer dart on the PS5. aftermath.site/bloodborne-rem...
My high elf ranger character with Valeera Sanguinar, a blood elf rogue
This whole season of Delves is just going to be toxic yuri:
* Two bad bitches from Quel'Thalas
* Deeply loyal to opposite factions
* Highly trained in covert tactics and violent regime change type shit
* Already thought through dozens of different scenarios involving the other's inevitable betrayal
The big thing is I don't feel like it earns the length. By the time I was like, "Okay I get what you're doing here and that's neat," I looked at how many hours were left in the series and just went, "There's no way, David. I can't give you that kind of time."
I'm glad it exists. It's a very interesting piece of art. It's doing things with the medium that point out how narrowly we've boxed ourselves in to what you're "allowed" to do. But do I enjoy watching it? Not really.
I couldn't stick with it, personally. The dream logic just doesn't give me anything to latch onto. These aren't characters. They're apparitions. There is no story. It's more like a very long poem. I just couldn't muster the motivation to continue. I couldn't find anything to care about.
I said this a couple years ago, but the smartest thing Nintendo ever did was opt out of chasing the graphical unicorn. The average person *does not care.*
Everybody else made everything else about horsepower, and all that has done is skyrocket development costs and make games take forever to make.
I'm not a huge fan of that, actually. There are certain servers I just hate. I would prefer RP servers to only ever be sharded with other RP servers at the end of the day.
Weirdly "Protagonisexual," despite being longer, sounds fine to me.
I just think the prosody is weird. That's my main issue with it.
PLAY-er sexual, HO-mo sexual, HET-er-o sexual A-sexual, BI-sexual, all have the stress on the first syllable.
Pro-TAG-o-sexual moves it to the second and for some reason that sounds weird/bad. My brain doesn't like it.
Yeah, it does!
